Yesterday I dug into my drawers full of games I bought yesteryear. Found Tropico Mucho Macho Edition. I decided to install and try to run the game. Surprisingly it works on my Vista 64 gaming rig. Cool! Without any need for compatibility modes and what not.

My sister has that game, but I never gave it a shot. Maybe I should look for it and try it out when I go back.

Hopefully it will be as good. I didn't play Tropico 2 though. Wasn't attracted to the whole pirate thing.

From what I remember, Tropico 2 had more of a pirate thing going. Didn't play it much, though...it didn't hold a candle to the first game (which I'm going to have to dig out and reinstall now, you bastards :)).

Oh my. I'm really horrible at this. I keep sucking in every game. My economy just keeps tanking. Stupid virtual villagers!
Tropico 2 is called "Tropico 2: Pirate's Cove", so I'm guessing from the title, it does have some pirate thing going for it.

Yeah, it does. You play as a pirate king instead of a dictator. I thought it was all right. But it didn't do anything new, really.
Anyone else looking forward to the recently announced Tropico 3?

Definitely. Kinda curious to see if they find another direction for it, or if it's going to be an updated version of the first game.

First screens of Tropico 3 has been released. Game is coming in this summer.
