Yay,
I know Kalypso is doign number 3, but do they have the rights to 1 ad 2?
If so, is there any chance of them on GoG? The Sountrack itself is worth purchasing the game!
Looking at their Steam catalog, yes, they have the rights for Tropico 1 and 2 (They sell it as a bundle under the name `Tropico Reloaded`).
Whats so great about this game? I keep reading good reviews on it, but to me it seems like an average city-building game.

It's a pretty awesome game I have to say. My sister bought it and we both loved it back in the day.

Probably not for the time being as they've just re-released the first 2 games in the Tropico Reloaded pack.
One of my favorite games of all time, though...and you're dead on about the soundtrack. :) Definitely looking forward to 3.
Yeah i would like to see some 'Tropico Reloaded' here too.
Doesn't matter if Kalypso already released such old game elsewhere,
the problem is that the pack is priced at $14.99 at the present, so...
maybe if gog get a nice deal in the future. Optimism...

Basically, they really nailed the ambiance they were going for. It's 1950s Caribbean Cold-War banana-republic heaven. With cool music. You can try to play nice, or you can assassinate or bribe troublesome faction leaders and jail protesters. Part of your final score is how much you've put in you Swiss bank account. It's about as RPG as a city-builder can be.
So do i would like to see Tropico here on GOG... at least Tropico 1 and Paradise Island

Agreed
It's lovely, I've got it on Steam. Even though I am not interested in the second one, it really strayed from the whole banana republic thing.

Number 3 or Reloaded?
