I should have thought it was obvious, but let me explain: what's the difference between, say, Legend of Grimrock on GOG and on Steam? Steam version has DRM and achievements, GOG's version is DRM free. But once you launch the game, they're exactly the same games. 15 hours of first-rate entertainment in which DRM is incredibly irrelevant. At that moment, the products are identical.
Cats and dogs are never identical. Neutered cats and non-neutered cats have some differences in behaviour, you might disagree with the procedure for various philosophical/humane reasons or you might claim that living with a non-neutered tomcat is hell on Earth, and that's all fine, but at the end of the day, the cat you're stroking in your lap and which is your big personal friend is still most certainly a cat.
