Hello Everyone,

Triumph Studios tweeted a Christmas card which looked like a puzzle to me and I completed the puzzle :)! It looks like we got a sneak peek at Age of Wonders 4!!! Let me know what you think!

Click here to see the result!

Let everyone know, because Triumph doesn't have that many followers so I think I'm the first one that completed the puzzle, or maybe not (who knows).

Have a nice Christmas and a happy new-year everyone!

EDIT:
I'm sure now that the images are from their next project. Someone working at the studio contacted me that I need to complete the puzzle to get a idea of what their next game is gonna be.

"@MagicFeather0 @TriumphStudios Complete the puzzle and get an idea of what the game can be :p"

On the website from this person (http://pimprudon.com/) you can see a tile with "Unannounced Triumph Studios Project"

So I'm 99,99% sure this is their next project.

EDIT 2:
I don't know if this is a coincidence, but GamersGate just got a sale going for Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic. It can be that the do this to get people interested in the series so the can get more people interested in Age of Wonders 4. But this is pure speculation.

I would really look forward to that. Age of Wonders simply eclipsed Heros of Might & Magic when it came to spells. For example, you could enchant the roads in your kingdom to give increased bonuses, change the land around your cities to increase productivity, create fog of war for the enemy, and so on. :)
I absolutely love the first AoW, and quite like the other two. I'm looking forward to this!

Awesome!

Age of Wonders has gone so long without any kind of new material.

Hopefully there can be some way to get it on GOG...
If that's what it is then it's great news! I replayed all 3 early this autumn including some of the good old scenarios.
Less AoW, more MoM please.

Yeah, it' just that I see AoW some successor to MoM, as it's similar in many ways. I don't know if there are technical "genealogical" reasons, but it felt like MoM's younger, slightly less interesting brother. I just wish there had been genuine sequels or remakes of Master of Magic...

I disagree. Sometimes less is more. Age of Wonders took Master of Magic, simplified/streamlined a lot and somehow managed to do it the right way so it worked perfectly. Essentially making it into a new "brand".

Don't get me wrong. I'd really really love a new version of MoM but as it is now I think the AoW series is too different to MoM to compare them too closely.
AoW4? So Shadow Magic counts as AoW3, or there is a game in the series I am unaware of?
Shadow Magic was "AoW2.5" (the name of one of the images in an ILB file suggests that this is how it was called internally), so the next game should be AoW3.

Ah interesting, I was starting to think they were going to close soon.
FYI, we're also discussing this over in the Aow Gog Forum.

The closest thing to MoM right now is Fallen Enchantress. It's not quite there yet, especially since the war AI is rather bad right now, but it can potentially be a very good successor.

In my opinion, the main thing that people who try to make a spiritual successor to MoM get wrong is that they focus too much on the fantasy, magic and RPG aspects of the game, forgetting that Masters of Magic was primarily a complex Civ-like strategy game.

Anyway, I liked the Age of Wonders games, so I hope they can do a worthy sequel. After all this time, and considering that Overlord is very different, I'm not sure they can pull if off, though. I mean, are the people who made AoW still there?
