It's nice to see this giveaway keep rolling so well. Thanks a lot for organizing it, triock.
As for the holiday-themed remarks - here the most celebrated holiday is actually New Year (for obvious reasons Christmans became much less popular for many decades). Therefore on New Year's night everyone likes to go out even despite the frost, recently people buy and blast a lot of fireworks, which is not exactly safe, but very spectacular.After New Year come the 10 long days of holidays, which is a perfect time to visit friends. In fact, some people prefer to stay at home for the celebration itself and go visit somebody next day/night (as everyone is not sleeping several nights in a row after New Year's anyway). As always, there are a lot of decorations everywhere and overall it's always a very light-hearted pleasant holiday.

Well in my family I'm the first one who decorates his room(1st of December) because I really love Christmas. I love the giving spirit, the snow, the decorations, the lights, the weather, the clothes... So almost everything :)

We don't have anything similar to Christmas where I live. Though as a kid, I always used to ask my parent why we don't celebrate it.

Christmas in my country usually starts during the 'ber months and everyone starts to be so kind to each other and this euphoria extends to at least late February. I quite like how that happens and how everyone is basically ending the year with a clean slate afterwards.

In our country people mostly celebrating a New Year, but Christmas is a holiday too. And we have orthodoxy church, not catholic, so we celebrate Christmas after New Year, on 7th of January. What I like in Christmas? Well, I believe it's the smell of a Christmas tree in the house, and the holiday lights all over the city, all this reminds me the time when I was a child.
