The new approach kicks off this week with a site overhaul incorporating new social features and the addition of indie games Trine and The Whispered World to the GOG catalog. Other new indies on the way include Machinarium, Darwinia, and Spacechem. Like all games on the services, the new additions will be available for the same price worldwide, and will not include any manner of digital rights management.

Oh please get Trine 2! Day 1 sale, I promise!

As for Trine, I already have like 4 copies, I cannot justify a 5th even for a good cause.

However, it is a great game if someone perchance has not played it!
Get Trine. It indeed is a great game!

By the way, a guy from the dev studio has an account here on GOG.

I imagine a -lot- of devs have accounts here. :p
All those are DRM free on disc, so... not a big deal to me really.

Looking forward to future releases though.
I should also mention that if you search for the whispered world in the forum you will see a news post for it's release with a negative 1 post count. Trine can also be found as can a preorder for the Legend of Grimrock.
Good, good. I have those except The Whispered World , but still very good. Indie games on GOG.
I know by the way, that some indie developers are looking forward to this. :)

And here I was wandering "what is that??!!" Thanks for heads-up!

Great to hear that Trine is coming here, it's a fantastic game that truly deserves a GOG release

Here's to more great "Newer" releases in the future!
Here's hope for dual-language support on The Whispered World <3
It would be great if more Daedalic Entertainment games would come.
I'm not sure if the translation to English is already done, but you would surely like Deponia!

There's probably going to be a bunch of new games released tomorrow and they made the news topics ahead of time. I don't know any more other than these and I found The Whispered World last night when I searched for World of Conflict. The other two were mentioned on the GOG.COM Commercials thread. I wonder what other games will be released :)

I'm with you on that, from the article: "and also release some carefully chosen new releases", I hope to see some more TW2 successes. It might not be long before some studios are begging to be included in said shortlist like how some indies are clamoring to be included in HIB.
I got the link from Twitter, I'm surprised the GOG staff didn't make a news post about it...

Maybe it's scheduled for later, I don't think they've ever made any bones about announcing stuff via social media first.
Once again I don't really understand why this kind of news appears on Gamespot first and not on GOG. It seems like a rather strange marketing strategy to build up excitement on the GOG.com for days only to get beaten to the punch by an external website.
Well, I guess it's finally time for me to get a hard copy of Trine, and buy it on GOG so I can burn it to disc and add it into the box.

That makes 3 copies, including the one I already have on Gamersgate :X
