As VanishedOne pointed out in the TAG game forum, Treasure Adventure Game is getting an HD commercial remake:

Trailer and some details on the site. I loved the original, so even though I've got mixed feelings about how the new game's visuals look, I'll pick this one up.
Edit: New blog post:

I might just be misunderstanding you, but you know this is just a remake right? It's not a new game unfortunately.

It will be expanded, new areas, new endings, etc.

But I can't stand new graphics.
Will we be seeing it on GoG? IIRC, the first one is a GoG freeware title.

The original is a freeware title everywhere.

I absolutely adore the original TAG, so this HD remastering piques my interest for sure. I'm not so sure how I feel about those graphics though... I love the chunky pixel art in the original, oh and the music too, Lord have mercy if they mess with the music.

The song above SOUNDS exactly how magic mushrooms FEEL. I've never played any other game that pulls off such an impossibly difficult feet; describing a feeling with no words, only song. TAG fucking rocks!

Yeah, I really share your concerns about those graphics, though I get a decent vibe from the trailer.

I don't know about you guys, but I love this new version and how it looks. My best wishes for this game.
I want it NOW! ^_^

Judging from the trailer, they will be. Annoying.
Yeah, I know it's a very subjective but for me (and not only me as I see) they just hit the bottom of the uncanny valley... Bravo!
I just think we need more good old games for free here. Get on it GOG. :P

The remake most probably won't be for free ;)

Yeah, when the remake gets here I'm betting it'll become the second time one game is included in two packages (the first is Ultima 4, it's available both on its own for free, and also together with 5 and 6 for $6).
Vote for it on the wishlist:

Treasure Adventure World

...and while you're at it, you might as well vote for another Chucklefish game:

Starbound

I realize that; I'm talking about other good old games for free. ;)

Aren't we suppose to be Flight of the Amazon Queen? And are most of these ass or something? http://www.cinemaware.com/games/
Since Chucklefish is helping out Robit Studios on this, and since TAG is already on GOG, I hope that would somehow lead to Starbound coming to GOG as well.
