Most of the games presented here used to exist in various languages and until recently I could still find them on abandonware websites. Since you guys sell them again, they disappear from those sites and the only version that remains is now english. In a sense your effort to preserve the gaming heritage fails here and none of my kids can play those games. Are you guys going to do something about that?

This does look like a very good point, have you emailed GOG support and mentioned this to them? It's possible that there are different language versions of many of the titles that they sell, and as a Polish company I'm sure they will appreciate the need for different language support.

the official word on this is that they will work on other languages after they are no longer in beta. this has been asked numerous times.

Havent' seen such requirement in previous threads and I'm not under the impression anything is done to satisfy this requirement. More games are added while others remain in this "beta" stage which basically means that those games are disappearing. GOG is killing good all games :'(

I doubt very much they'll translate the entire site. That would be extremely cost-prohibitive. Should they translate all news items? How about forum posts? No, the site will remain English-only, but they'll probably start selling such localized versions of the games they have as already exist, at some point in the future (in such cases as they can make deals for them). Don't expect them to start translating games themselves, though.

Glad I live in a country where there aren't too many localized versions available.
EA makes some "localized" versions by having menu options and such translated.
I've played a translated Jagged Alliance 2 once after I had to rebuy it due to the original discs being damaged.
All the mercs and NPC texts and sayings were translated.
It ruined the merc's characters as well as the fun of playing the game itself.

Yeah, but Interplay, Empire, Topware, Codemasters, JoWooD etc. also published their games here in germany. Spellforce, Gothic, Gothic 2, Sacred, Alien Nations, Darkstar One, Patrician 3, Panzer Elite, Port Royale 2, The Gulid even are games from germany.
So I was just wonderingif theybought the rights for the localized versions, too.
