Last night I posted a thread about Magic: The Gathering and it got me thinking about trading/battle card games in general. With that said, does anyone have any suggestions for Trading/battle card video games or video games with card mechanics in them?
There is now open beta of Might and Magic Duel of Champions, game seems promising.

There is Battleforge too, a mix of RTS/card game.

Nope, can't think of anything :D
I've played Etherlords 2 and it reminded me of MTG. It looks like Etherlords is pretty similar, also.

Ninja'd!

At least I recall Final Fantasy 8 having some kind of ongoing battle card minigame in itself. Almost felt like an own game in itself, but maybe it was quite simplified compared to standalone battle/trading card games.

EDIT: Ah yes, apparently it was called "Triple Triad" (in FF8), and googling found this

Few of those unfortunately :(.
The one I'm waiting to see if it will be worth it is Solforge, that recently had a sucessful kickstarter, but still needs a year or so for proper release.
I thought it was obvious :P
Might & Magic 7-8 have Arcomage mini-game.
It was even released as standalone, but it's quite obscure, unfortunately.

Arcomage you said?
(I haven't tried this out, so I don't know how well it works.)

Thank you :D
The Triple Triad from FF8 was very good when you keep in mind that it's game in game :)

I rly recomend to check Might and Magic Duel of Champions, it's very good. Dunno how it will turn when they will make it F2P :S

The 1997 release of Magic the Gathering was pretty good. But it is a pain to run on modern computers, so go for Etherlords (released today)

Not really... works without any problems on modern systems with full Internet Multiplayer with the help of MOKs Fan Update (also adding more than 1000 new cards to the game, reason why I can't offer a public download of it) ;)

Oh, I did not know that there was a fan patch like that. The vanilla version (without the fan patch) crashes for me, but I'll give it a try with the fan patch.
Yes, there was a quite active community a couple of years ago :)

Too bad, one of the major improvements (all of the card able to be edited on your own in a handy excel file) has been lost :(

We have added a lot of cards up to 8th edition.
