In GOG's holiday promo bundles, you need to purchase all games at once in order to save 75% (or a possibly similar percent in the upcoming promo bundles). So I thought maybe those who already have the games they wanted from the promos but do not want the available games might help others. For example you own everything in the current "Bullfrog Favourites" bundle except Syndicate and Dungeon Keeper, and you do not want to buy them for your collection. So you can buy them as gifts and trade them with fellow GOGers who want these games. I think in this way many users can help each other.
You can buy only one game if you have all others and you will still get 75%.

It's not steam, you know.
As this idea would involve trading on a trust basis since it can't be done safely I would caution everyone to only deal with trusted people, same like the Classifieds thread. There's always scammers about.

This

If you already own a game, it's marked and added to the list and is contributed towards the 75% off price, it's a very good system that doesn't make you pay for games you already own

I think that was his point.

He's saying the people who have already got the games they want could buy some of the games that are in the promo and they don't want for the 75% price, and then trade/gift it. (not sure if that even works tbh)

If you don't want to buy it, you can buy it as a gift and trade it with someone who wants the game. I guess you didn't get what I meant.

Oh, to abuse the system? How thoughtful!
Abuse?! In what sense?

How true. But judging from the classifieds and some of the recent gift threads abusing package deals is entirely common even among gog users. (Indie bundles especially)

The -75% is only if you complete the collection with the game you wish to buy. If you only want to buy Theme Hospital, and it's not the only game missing, you have to pay $2.99 instead of $1.49 for it.
On the other hand, if there is someone who already has all the games, the price he pays for any of the promo is the -75%, or $1.49 for each game (who said being a loyal customer doesn't pay off?).

Edit: and of course, ninja'd...

I can probably do this for most bundles, though my bank balance is currently low and I was hoping to increase my collection, but feel free to pm me if you are interested and we may be able to work something out.

This. I've just about given up on commenting on it by now. People don't seem to think it's morally ambiguous in any way, and the fact that it's explicitly forbidden in some of the TOS's involved doesn't seem to have any impact.
