Let say I have an extra key for a game that I already have on GOG (or Steam.) You have may have an extra key for a different game that I do not have. Let's trade.

How can people trade games in here? I see people giving away keys all the time. Why didn't they trade them? I have a bunch of extra keys. I wouldn't just give them away.
People give away game keys for varoisus reasons, because they like to gift other people, because they can, etc.

BTW.: Thanks to all generous gifters here on GOG.

Okay, let's clarify something here: Giving away games to kids who are doing well is not philanthropy. Giving money and foods to homeless, starving children is.

I find it insulting and inconsiderate to put those two in the same category. Insulting and inconsiderate to people who actually need help.

Sometimes it is just nice to make other people happy.

But yes, people do trade games as well. Please do note that bundle keys have a very low trade value.

Was busy wrestling with the spelling, had a few edits and still got it wrong (drunk).

Philanthropy, or simply generousity, take your pick. The point was that some people are genuinely wanting to brighten someone's day, and to observe that they're missing a trick by not trading them, is to miss the point.

No thanks. That's like giving more tax cuts to billionaires like the Koch Brothers and Rupert Murdoch and rich spoiled princesses like Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian who was born with silver spoon up her arse. I find it distasteful to feed people's greed.

you're changing the topic of this thread, so I'm not going to come back on this, and I'll leave it as a thread about "how can we trade games here". If you want the other discussion, I'd suggest a separate thread.

Thank you for your time and attention. Let this be a lesson to you.

*coughs*

Okay, maybe using forum in-jokes isn't such a good idea. But I find it funny that you dislike feeding people's greed when... you're being greedy by criticizing those of us who've given away stuff for free 'cause we're nice.

Hang on what exactly is your point here, i have given away keys here because it a nice community the code where either relatively cheap or spare. How in any way am I or other people who give codes out on Gog distasteful? Whats wrong in not profiteering and actually trying to be nice?
