So, as far as I can find there's no giveaway/topic(this year) considering this special day in this fine forum.

Thought I'd make one.

Towel Day is a day when you carry a towel with you to honor the late Douglas Adams(author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). I enjoyed the book, the TV series and the movie(in that order) and think that Adams deserves to be noticed from this day to unforeseeable future.

So what do you think about Douglas Adams, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy or anything related, discuss. Oh, and enter the giveaway described below. =)

GA:

Three(3) games: Deus Ex 2: Invisible War, FTL: Advanced Edition and Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura

- To be in state “If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot now.”
- Pay attention, you can be in for ONE game only so there's THREE WINNERS
- Winners will be chosen randomly or by me if I find someones comment utterly awesome, so quite random in any case.

Using towels is so overrated these days.
I never read or watched anything from Douglas Adams (apart from the Hitchhiker game but couldn't get into it), so can't say anything useful about it. But 42 is the answer.

Ooops! Forgot to mention those, the shame...

But no I haven't finished the radio dramas, I have them at home right now so it is just a matter of time. Have to admit that I suck in listening audio books/radio programs etc. but I'm getting better. I've liked them so far.

This is why I tend to keep my mouth shut, I always forgot the important things. =D

In for Deus Ex 2, thank you! And I really like Douglas Adams, though I've not been able to read any of his non-Hitchhiker's work besides "Last Chance to See" yet.

I'm in for Arcanum. Thank you for the giveaway, nuuttiT. I love Douglas Adams! I've read all the Hitchhiker & Dirk Gently books (my favorite Douglas Adams book is "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency"). Here is one of the quotes I love from "Life, the Universe and Everything":

“What was that?” hissed Arthur.
“Something red,” hissed Ford back at him.
“Where are we?”
“Er, somewhere green.”

I have never heard of "Towel Day" but it's a funny idea. :D

I like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy TV series. I watched it ages ago so it's about time to grab it on DVD and watch it again. Thanks for reminding me!
