A towel certainly is a massively useful object!
Happy Towel Day

Aw dang it, why today? I'm going to be Dr. Horrible today, and I've never seen Dr. Horrible lugging around a towel all day.

Then again, labcoats do have large pockets.
I should start selling selling pins with a small symbolic towel with a "42" stitched on them ... ideal for people who want to celebrate Towel Day, but are in a position where that's not really possible ...

Ooooh, that explains a lot. Two years ago some of my fellow students appeared with towels. I wasn't aware that it was done as tribute to Douglas Adams (despite the fact that I had read the Hitchhiker's Guide).
Towel day and Champion's League Final at the same day?

Ok, here's my towel...

You should never forget to bring a towel.
I know where my towel is

(it is soaking up some tomato soup right now)
Steelers fans carry their "Terrible Towels" 24/7. Those are dedicated towel people!
In his book, was Douglas Adams talking about normal sized towels or beach towels because I find beach towels 1000 times more useful.
If you're stuck at home and need something to do with your towel besides carrying it: http://www.ehow.com/how_6312136_can-out-make-towel-animals_.html
My towel is still in rehab.
