Hi fellow players,
Right now I have limited money resources and I was wondering if I should buy Spellforce while it is in promo or Arcanum. I want mainly game that would be simply fun and it would take loong time to finish it.

I think Spellforce is more of an RTS. Arcanum on the otherhand is a good old fashioned Diablo style RPG. I would go with Arcanum because there's so much going on it's a different game everytime you play.
Might look at Divine Divinity and Sacred Gold as well . . .=)
I prefer DD over SG but both are great fun
Edit: DD took around 50 -60 hrs, SG took me 90 + hrs (it keeps up with play time)

Well, I wouldn't necessarily call Arcanum a Diablo-style RPG.
Spellforce is an RTS with leveled heroes and the like. Fun game.
Arcanum is actually much closer to Fallout, in terms of gameplay. That being said, it is nowhere near as polished (Troika :p). The "default" style of gameplay is the AP-driven turn-based combat (you can only do so much in a given turn).
That being said you CAN play Arcanum as a Diablo-esque RPG, if you play in real-time mode. And it actually gets VERY easy if you play a mage like that, since you can then spam harm spells until everything is dead :p
From your choices grab Spellforce, Arcanum was cool but not very different mechanic wise while Spellforce is unique in the mix.

It's more like Fallout than Diablo actually.
Spellforce is a hell of a long game, I've not finished the first one and you get the 2 expansions as well. It IS definitely more of an RTS than an RPG although there is a fair bit of hero customisation which can make of break a tight battle
I have Beyond Divinity,Divine Divinity,Another World and 4 free promo games (Lure of the Temptress,Beneath a Steel Sky,Teen Agent and Rise of the Triad). Thanks everyone for tips but as I understood there are a lot better games than this so please recommend anyrhing up to 6 dollars :)

First of all, don't listen to certain other post, Arcanum is nothing like Diablo. Arcanum is a true RPG game, you can choose to fight the battles in turn based (preffered) or real time (sucks for this game). It's a very long game 40+ hours if you don't rush things and that just for a single playthrough. You can have different experience depending on your character's race, training, skills, morality, affiliation to magick or technology. You can play the game alone or with several other AI party members. It's a damn classic IMO and one of my favourite RPGs of all time.
Spellforce, I have no idea.

Anything that would be fun and last long :))
Pokud se ti líbil fallout a představa trpaslíků s plamenomety či elfů s revolvery tě neodpuzuje, pak jdi do Arcana.
Ale jestli nejsi na RPG, tak je to spousta jiných skvělých.
Spellforce comes with wallpapers featuring scantily clad ladies, I think the decision is obvious

The spellforce demo is linked in there. Doesn't seem to be one for Arcanum but youtube might well be a good idea

Detlik, welcome to gog, and are you looking for a certain style game for the $6.00 or anything at all?
Realms of Arkania 1+2 may fit and you get two games.
I like Stonekeep, but others may not.
There are adventure games, RTS games so you have quite a lot to choose form for your $6.00.
Or get what is on sale and wait for the next sale when you have the money.

FUN is very subjective.
I played Arcanum for years over the eh years. It was a lot of fun for me. Others can't stand it.
Fallout 2 is another great RPG.
Silent Hunter 2 is a very good submarine sim.
Haegemonia is a good RTS.
All of them are very long games.
