I think one of the things missing from Bastion (not that it needed it) that a lot of people like about ARPGs was a class archtype choice, in Bastion you could play ranged or melee, or a mix of both, but there wasn't the traditional options so much. Of course it didn't need it, but some people would hesitate to compare it to formula ARPGs.

Also, Bastion doesn't suffer from play on a gamepad, it's better. Button mashing is more satisfying than left clicking:)

I suspected that might be the case, but it wouldn't let me configure my generic usb controller (which I thought was an xbox 360 controller when I got it, but it turned out to be fake). I have what I hope is a real xbox 360 controller arriving tomorrow, so will try it out then :)

Bastion is aRPG? I thought that it is some arcadey zelda-clone, something like The Binding of Isaac

Nope. It's much closer to Diablo gameplay-wise, but the levels are not random and there is a heavy emphasis on storyline. Not like Isaac at all.

To me it's a Zelda style game with more RPG elements.

Get them to release it on GOG. This way you will know when!!! It's brilliant I tell you!

Diablo 1 is not available in the Blizzard Store, sadly. Only D2 and its expansion.

The same for the older Warcraft titles not being available, a stupidity, because Blizzard could be making money on top of their older titles.

They are available in retail.....somewhere. It's not much, but still better than getting ripped-off on eBay.

Here in retail I only find D2 and D2 expansion...and sometimes a warcraft 3 or wow.

Torchlight definately (if I actually buy one of them at all).. D3 has far too much BS attached to it.

D2 is last I'll ever play anything of Blizzard..

Who is the publisher for that? The only compilations I found here are the diablo or warcraft "battle chests"... nothing including warcraft 2 bnet edition.

I really don't get the earlier complaint about Torchlight being CLICK CLICK CLICK.

You are aware what genre we're talking about right? That's the arguement tools use to make fun of the entire genre, so it's a bit weird seeing it made about a specific game in the genre when discussing it.
