Does Torchlight 2 have multiplayer?

Me 2! Still play Torchlight to this day on. :)

I've watched a ton of co-op play at 2010 and 2011 PAX, it looks very strong. This was their number 1 item to get implemented for TL2.

Torchlight 2 should debut on GOG! In fact, I'll just go over to the wishlist now and vote for it. :)

Multiplayer was the reason Torchlight 2 was made instead of going full-bore on Torchlight MMO as was planned... T2 was for the fans and nothing else.. and they delivered the hell out of it... I cannot wait!

Cool we should get some GOG'ers together for that.

Might be some time until I'll get TL2 thanks to Diablo 3.

On the upside I'll most likely get it (TL2) on sale for even cheaper than the cheap $20.

Price is irrelevant and Torchlight was quite boring. Wouldn't even consider getting T2, but not that there's a fire mage, I'll get it when it's 75% off or so. Shouldn't be long till it gets to that price considering the release date.

I'm actually not really a fan of action RPG's so much, I loved D1/2 mind you, but because of the dark fantasy setting and plot not the gameplay, "repetitive click attacking" is not something I enjoy, because it doesn't have enough mechanics behind it. Diablo could have been made in something similar to the Infinity Engine, minus the parties, and been better, in my opinion.

Torchlight had one big fault.
The monsters levelled at the same time, like you levelled and you had never the illusion that you became stronger. But that illusion is what Hack&slashs are about, aren't they?

For me, multiplayer. I find hack n slash games boring in single player. I have hope for Torchlight 2 though, because they're adding co-op.

I don't really get that. TL wasn't really any less interesting than D2 was, unless of course one is into multiplayer.

But, yes it was quite repetitive, but this genre tends to be quite repetitive.
