Seems not been implemented, but from the faq you should get it from the torchlight 2 webpage:

I'd strongly advise against that. It appears that PWE has terrible customer service. I've yet to receive my activation key. Buyer beware.

Could it be a regional thing?
Well, Gamersgate is an excellent choice for those who wanna avoid Steam. I preordered from Steam before GG added it to their catalogue zz
Ah hell, decided to buy on Gamersgate. Will purchase one more time when it's on GOG so I can play it on LAN with my bros.
I'd gladly pay 20 bucks for it, it's a shame i'm not allowed to.
I'm still on the lime, though, because Cenega didn't share the price of the XCOM SE with anyone yet, don't know what they're waiting for.

The GG copy is a steamworks copy.

No, I told them I'm in the US and used a US based VPN to make the purchase with a US based CC. So, they think I'm in the US. From what I saw on the fora, some people just aren't being given activation keys when they pay until later on.

Support is 3-4 days and I would expect longer right now. So, if you buy it you might get the key right away or it could take you several days past the launch.

Yeah but I'm more than happy to give some of the money to GamersGate instead of Steam. :P

BTW
RPS's WIT:

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/09/20/wot-i-think-torchlight-2/#more-125092

"Perhaps more importantly, Torchlight 2 is also much better than Torchlight. The lovely, minimalist approach to a dungeon crawler with it’s linear descent and ridiculous amount of charm managed to woo us despite its limits. Torchlight 2 removes those limits, keeps the charm, and manages to be a vastly superior sequel to an already fantastic game. What it doesn’t do, however, is move the genre forward in any meaningful direction."

Yay!

I just started playing it. It's great.
Just bought it through Perfect World and got the emails instantly ... downloading now

Well, ok, not really ... NOW I AM DOWNLOADING ... Runic Forums for Torchlight 2 says their web pages are getting hit hard and so they posted download links in the forum which are NOT STEAM and will be activated with the key purchased through PerfectWorld.

Problem was ... there was No Activated download button and no way to download from the Perfect World site but .... half hour later, finally downloading.

According to the GG page, it uses SecuROM.

A pity that Max Schafer still holds on dear to such outdated concepts of piracy, and that this prevented Runic from releasing on GOG. You can guarantee the game will be cracked and a full working copy up on TPB by the time I wake up tomorrow morning.

Edit: I stand corrected - a working crack IS already available. For obvious reasons, I'm not linking it, but those "in the know" can have a look at the websites of the most common cracking groups.

T1 is Securom, T2 Steamworks.
