Yeah, LAN based play works, characters are stored on your own machine, both online and offline characters. This means you have to somewhat trust the people with which you game, but there should be some fun ways to play mods with people.

More classes, more pets, more outdoors, bigger Acts, etc. There's a lot to which to look forward, probably will put down all my other games for a few days.

cw8: Unlocks for me in 16 hours. Won't get to play today, so tomorrow after work. Borderlands 2 unlocks in 13 hours at 11pm which means I can sneak in 1-2 hours of play.

Yes, regrettably. Pre-ordered from Steam a few months back before Gamersgate had the pre-order. Will get another copy on GoG once it arrives here.

Elmofongo: did not follow the game much, but so far does it have substantial difference from Torchlight 1 or just minor additions like new classes?
Not to mention the game's harder than TL1. And the boss fights look more fun and challenging than TL1's. And dare I say combat in general *looks* crispier.

I eventually found it buried in the fora, it looks like it's coming out at 10 AM PDT. Which makes no sense at all to me. And annoys me as that means I'll have to get up in the middle of the night to start the download so that they can launch when everybody in the US is at work. I'm not sure I get the logic of that.

I'm just going to buy straight from Runic on launch day. I think they allowed BT downloading or something else fast last time. That should get it to me in record time and all my cash, minus some transaction fees, go straight to Runic.

It's about 1.4-1.6gigs of download, so it isn't that bad. Well at least Steam allows folks who pre-ordered earlier to preload the game. There was some donwload activity for TL2 yesterday, not sure what.

I'm still waiting on my key from yesterday. I'm going to be royally pissed if I stay up late and don't receive my key. But, from what I now know, apparently PWE does this from time to time where they don't provide the key.

I'm not seeing it listed on my account page either.
