I stopped playing my 'Lore' Alchemist for now as it was just a matter of me keeping out six imps, a golem, and multiple skeletons while I ran around and did virtually nothing. Going with a Vanquisher for more of a 'hands on' experience -- now I actually have to pay attention to my health.
Here's my review if you wanna read it.

Good review you've wrote. :)
Good review and I completely agree with you and Travis -- more games should adopt a stylistic art style because it ages so much better than 'cutting edge/realistic' graphics. Ron Gilbert (to no one's surprise) is going this route with Deathspank which integrates some really nice two dimensional background art amidst the 3D stuff.
Off the top of my head the only major developer that has consistently stuck with such an approach is Blizzard (Valve uses it just for TF2 which I think is their best looking game). I'd much rather see some creativity from artists than an attempt to make things look as close to real life as possible. We see real life all the time.

Thanks guys! Really looking forward to all the mods that come out. And the MMO.
Bought Torchlight for my father and myself. My father is addicted to it, while I'm not. It's good, but it just doesn't get me so easily.

... until you hit the jungle levels, then you can just wade right through the levels. At least mine does. Starting again with an alchemist here :p

Woo hoo! :)
Hey, just posting to share this about Mythos, a Torchlight-like game (although it is not my cup of tea):

Well, I got all the way down to the big bad wolf himself, and I THINK THEY MAY HAVE OVERDONE HIM. A LITTLE.
Wow...my computer can run this....and I think I'm love....WHEN IS THE NEXT SALE?!
Not sure if the D2D sale is still valid or not -- think it's a daily thing. It will probably be on sale on Steam if you don't mind that but the discount could be as little as 10%.
My my my, I got addicted to this. I bought it on the Steam sale expecting something mediocre but this is awesome!
I don't know why I love it. I usually hate Diablo-style dungeon crawls. Maybe it's the fish.
It's simple but it does everything it does do really well. Perfect example of what quality developers can do when they aren't overambitious are feel forced to tack on half-baked content because of a $50 price tag.
