rewsan, it could be fragmentation of the game on your drive. I had that problem once with Tron 2.0.
When I first installed it, it would take forever to load. After I ran defrag it started loading smoothly and super quickly.

Indeed, they are working to fix the load times -- it is a bit of an annoyance.
You probably won't like it. While the game play is fun there isn't really a larger story like Diablo. It's intentionally a bare bones construction set for modders. I've never really sat down and played it for more than an hour at a time as it isn't insanely engaging. It's just a fun little time waster.

It's a very good game. I would wait a few months, for a few patches to clean up performance and bugs, before playing it.

I'm already waiting for the Mac port which very likely I'll have to repurchase... I hope the retail version actually includes both the Windows and Mac version so I can skip the downloadable Mac port.

Yes Jan 5th as i said earlier, and thankfully their history with Encore is no DRM just straight up EXE installs as were the FATE executable's. but that means diddly since Torchlight is a little different than FATE.

Oh, there was a story in D1 lol ? It was very sketchy and uncreative...I'm also wondering why there's so much hype if it's just a Diablo redux. I prefer more engaging , classic style RPG with a real story, character choices (not only about the axe he wields), like BG series. TQ was not bad but still very simple, I rediscovered DD and G2 thanks GoG and I'm pretty happy with them.

So with the release of a non-Steam demo I got around to trying this game out last night, and frankly it just didn't grab me. Now, it certainly seemed like a well-made game, but the gameplay just felt like something I had already done numerous times before and there wasn't really any hook to differentiate this iteration from any of the previous ones. The gameplay was also at a fairly slow pace (as far as action-RPGs go), and combined with the game being fairly easy it felt like I was simply slowly trudging through the enemies without any fights to really get my blood pumping, nor did it feel like there was any need to use my character's abilities in any kind of skillful manner as opposed to just spamming them whenever running into enemies. By the end of the two-hour demo I was basically feeling like I was already getting bored with the game and didn't really have any desire to play more of it.

Thanks, now I'll get to know what everyone has been raving about, and wether it'll be worth buying once it hits retail. It's a decently quick download as well at 1.6 Mbyte/sec.

This game is excellent!
I started with a Destroyer on Easy (Balruk, level:10, currently), and I'm having fun.
Of course my next characters (Alchemist and Vanquisher) will start in hardest difficulties, to be more challenging. :)

Well I was too fast to praise because this bullshit keeps crashing and crashing and crashing and crashing. Something about the C++ runtime.
