Hehe nah I'm cool man, thanks though
Does anybody know is Gorky 17 has any reported graphics issues on ATI cards? Specifically, ATI X1800 Laptop Chipsets?

Works fine on my HD4870.
What resolution does the game run at (Gorky 17) ? I can handle the software mode as long as the resolution isn't too low. The scaling can look awful and the windowed mode can be too small in anything less than 800*600.

nimagraven: Nice promo. This makes up from the disappointment of more RTS games for me :).

Good thing I didn't get you Jack Orlando in "Give a game, get a game", eh? Now you can get it with a discount :-). (Even though it's not shown either in the OP or on the GOG frontpage promo screen, it is included.)
Time to replace my STEAM copy of Earth 2160 :)
Nice promo! too bad i am broke tough T_T anyway i better start "working" soon.
Jack Orlando.. Hmm... An adventure game I have not played. Looks interesting, so I think I will pick it up later this week. Nice promo indeed! ;)

It IS a nice adventure, if you are not put off by its pretty horrible voice acting. Some of the puzzles are in the killer category IMO, but for someone who enjoys adventure games, they may be OK.

It's well worth the price. Some of the puzzles are a bit crazy (though i think they are all logical, been a while since i played it), however you can always use a walkthrough. That's the thing with adventure games i have gotten stuck for ages on something that was so easy it is embarassing to admit (even got stuck a couple of times on Sam & Max series one, if you can believe such a thing) and yet have breezed through some obscure and illogical puzzles without thinking.
Baking cookies (Still Life), WTF, how did that make sense? Why was it even in the game ? Why ?

When I think about it, I'm rather annoyed right now. I can see at least 4 games in this promo I'd like (and 2 I already got), but just a few days ago I bought the 2K Huge Games Pack on Steam.
EDIT:
On further examination, I just noticed that it's just 3 more days until this months wages arrive, so I'm not as annoyed.
However, now there's a damnable moth flying around my head. Stupid, vanilla-colored, winged bastard.

Yeah, I was thinking that! A couple of the games on my list are on my wish list.

Aliasalpha: hmm tempting but I really DO have to start saving for this horribly expensive dental operation

We're in the same boat -- I figured out a solution though..go to the university dental clinic. It's like 10x cheaper. :D
I'm super broke at the moment anyway cause I just moved and I ordered Street Fighter IV...but eh..I got Gorky 17. If I have to eat soup and bread for another few days that's fine. :)

LordCinnamon: you could buy.. just one? One can't hurt, right? Come on.. you know you want it! And it's cheaper to buy it now than to buy it some other time. Just skip on lunch or a few drinks instead!

Edit: LC's got the idea. :)

Bought Septerra Core...just as a guilty compensation because I played and completed the pirated game back then. :P
