Top games that don’t wear off quickly.

Today, 11 games from [url=http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue#all_genres/publisher/TopWare%20Interactive/]TopWare have their prices reduced by 50%. This also comes with another cool piece of news about a Topware game in our catalog: Earth 2140, the first part of a well-know strategy series, now comes with a special bonus content: a DOSBox version of the game with a more robust AI. If you like strategies, you’ll surely grab Earth 2150 and Earth 2160 to complete the set. Each of these RTSes is only $2.99.

Two Worlds: Epic Edition is an action RPG, which, as you’ve probably guessed, is epic. Action fantasy in a vast world with impressive visuals and advanced character development. The game includes two expansions: Tainted Blood and Curse of Souls and offers both almost complete freedom so many cRPGs miss nowadays and a loooooong game time for only $4.99.

Septerra Core is another RPG, but in a completely different setting -- Japanese RPG mixed with steampunk. Fascinating world design, wide cast of characters, and huge 100+ hours of gameplay only partly describe Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator, which is only $2.99.

If you’d prefer some well-paced adventure, get Enclave, that offers simple hack-and-slash entertainment with a parade of diverse of environments from dark labyrinths, through town rooftops, to hellish wasteland. Enclave is pure action fun for only $2.99 on GOG.com.

That’s not all, because you can get Knights and Merchants, Dream Pinball 3D, Gorky 17, Jack Orlando: A Cinematic Adventure or Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire, all for $2.99 each, only this weekend on GOG.com.

Visit the promo page to check all TopWare games that are 50% off this weekend on GOG.com.
By any chance any words of wisdom about Two Worlds and/or Knights and Merchants?

keeveek: Finally you fixed Earth 2140! Nice!
I have a huge backlog and no time to play games, but I'm buying Earth 2140 just to say thanks to GOG for following up on a long standing problem.
Got every one of them - Roll on next sale please - Cheers GOG :-)

If you liked Settlers, you will probably like Knights and Merchants too. But it's much more difficult and combat focused than Settlers, so watch out.

Nothing much to say. Game mechanics are similar, with few differences (e.g. you have to provide your troops with food rations from time to time, so you have to remember to move back to the city after longer battle)

Ah, thanks. I get quickly overwhelmed in combat focused RTS games, I prefer the "less combat" strategy games.

And Two Worlds seem to have some horrible reviews regarding many of it's problems... darn, nothing for me on this sale then.
Yup, there are some scenarios in campaign, where you have only troops to command (a very limited number) and you have to outsmart your enemy , which is of course outnumbering you.

You definitely need more fighting skills than in the Settlers.

ps. Can anyone recommend me Enclave? I have very limited funds now, and I'm wondering if this game is good, great, or bad or just mediocre.
Wow, I came here to discourage peple from buying Earth 2140 again and I see it's not necessary anymore. Good job, GOG. Although it took very long time.

It's not true it's enhanced A.I., though. It is functional A.I. as was originally included in this game before it was broken by Zuxxez.

Just got Two Worlds Epic Edition, very nice sale! :)
Which Earth is best/should I get - 2140, 2150 or 2160?

Thanks
Thank you GOG. Picked up Two Worlds (didn't realise how low the specs were.) and Earth 2160
Has Gorky 17 been fixed?

thx for pointing out.

GOG should REALLY have some place on their webpage when such things are mentioned. Even if it would be: catalog_change_log.txt
Two Worlds: Epic Edition is a must buy for every RPG fan.

There are some very informative pro and con threads in the Two Worlds forum. I bought it over the holiday sale and after getting past what for me was a steep learning curve with the controls, I've sunk 30+ hours into it so far and am having a blast. I have found it to be a stable game on my 6-year-old XP system with a Radeon card. The story part's distinctly lacking in terms of depth and writing quality, but Antaloor's a fun place to wander around in.
