TheJoe: The intrusive Facebook app told me and all my friends that there's now 500 signatures.

Aatami: More like 1040.

Our mediocre success pleases the copyright owner ;3.
Oh YES, this needs to happen! Signed.
Now into the 1,200s. Even if it doesn't make 50,000 I'm sure it will definitley show that theres interest in wanting a re-release, heres hoping!!!
It seems the votes are already starting to trail off. If 50,000 is required then it's going to require a lot more promotion to get there.
Votes are slowing right down now. :(

This is dead. Damn...
This is because its down to people not spreading the news enough and not even attempting to submit it on some of the big gaming news sites just been plain lazy.
Its over the 1,500 mark I think they should lower the count to 5,000. I just think 50,000 is taking the piss and from what I found out the people on the fan forum (who were the ones to start all this btw) don't want it to happen cause they want to make their fan version of Toonstruck 2 which I think will suck cause they won't be able to get the resources to do it.
Currently the petition is about to reach 2000 sigs and Facebook page has over 500 members apparently a few YouTube vids have been made to help advertise the petition and its slightly helped a little but still I wish more would sign.
Someone has recently done a short interview with Keith Arem about this petition and can be read here:
http://the--adventuress.blogspot.com/2010/08/toonstruck-two-possible-with-enough-fan.html
Apparently Mr Arem has stated that people should not donate money to the donation page on Petition Spot. Also Petition has reached close to 2300 signatures and facebook page has over 600 members now.
50,000 votes for Toonstruck 2 was pretty vertical to be honest. If I were them, i'd be happy to have gotten 2000+ signatures. I really hope they aren't put off by the vast difference in what they expected and what they got.
The petition is dead in the water now. I share Aatami's hopes that they will consider releasing it anyway. Online petitions are not a good way of judging potential popularity as nobody takes them seriously (well, not the unofficial ones at least).

Me too, I feel the same, 50,000 is way too much and I'm certain they'd be happy that they got 2000+ cause I bet they didn't even think it would get that high.
Keith Arem just posted this over on the official Toonstruck 2 facebook page;

Hey All -

Thanks for your support and dedication. We sincerely appreciate your devotion to our project, and we hope to do you proud. It may be some time before you start to hear official announcements, but we are hoping your support helps raise awareness and confidence for an updated re-release of Toonstruck.

As you are... aware, much of the game was never released due to time and budget constraints. We are evaluating the cost and time to incorporate these assets into the initial re-release. In the coming months, I will do my best to get you behind the scenes peeks into the development process.

Thanks again for your continued support, and I hope to provide you with more news soon.

Best Regards -

Keith Arem

I thought this was going to turn out to be dead in the water. But it looks like they light go ahead anyway. I'd definitely buy it.
