SimonG: Downrepping the OP for stating a not popular opinion. Real classy guys, real classy ...
This.
I'd personally love to see more FPSs on here. BUt that's just me. I think GOG does do a good job of varying the kinds of games they release.

darthspudius: Im sorry, not enough call of duty. For the simple fact that point and click games are extremely hard to get a hold of in this day and age i am very very pleased with GoG's choice of games.

Rubedo: I don't play CoD, asshole. I play real games. Real games do not include any of this western-developed point and click garbage nor does it include FPS games.
Oh boy... sounds like we've got a JRPG fan here.

I think jrpgs and adventure games are actually really similar. Both are story focused and both have dull mechanics: jrpg=menus, adventure game=point&click.

Yes this forum is like that. Immediately downrep somone if you don't like his/her opinion. Great way the communicate and discuss! Welcome to Internet in 2012!
Just to be perfectly honest, I did downrep his "assholes" post. That deserved it.

Exactly. It's odd that the OP has such an aversion to point & click games, because they and JPRGS are essentially the same thing, with the latter having superior graphics.

In fact, calling JRPGS, RPGS are a real cop-out. There is no role-paying, you can't pick (or customize) your own character, really explore or do anything, except what is strictly pre-determined.

They are basically walking movies. Point & click adventure games tend to have more flexibility though, in some of the things you can do and the puzzles are often interesting.

That said, I love point & click adventure games and in the "non-western" hemisphere, stuff like animation and the like, but unfortunately, this doesn't extend to their games.

Look OP just because you don't like pnc adventure games does not mean that gog shouldn't release them or that they aren't real games. I think part of why you were downvoted was because of how condescending you were to state that they weren't and to call them garbage. Personally, I'm not a fan of fps, but that does not mean fps games are garbage, they just aren't my cup of tea.

(gog actually does do a good job of varying their catalogue since the last games were a ww2 rts, and arcade fighter, an action/adventure game, and a racing game. )

Out of curiosity, what is it about point 'n clicks that turn you off?
Too many....you mean not enough!! I love pnc adventure games and if you saw my wishlist there are several that I can't get on this site. The latest release, Edna & Harvey are new pnc games as opposed to old games and I for one applaud GOG for getting the games on my favorite site.

Point and click forever!

BadDecissions: Well, don't keep us in suspense! What are "real games," then? Answering that question still won't turn three out of twenty into 90%, though.

Rubedo: Real games are games that actually have substance and soul. Something that a very large margin of western-developed games lack. When GOG can actually make use of their Square-Enix license to bring us good games like FF7, or make contracts with companies like Sega and Capcom, then maybe GOG will have something actually worth buying. And I didn't LITERALLY mean 90%, I just meant "a very large amount".
Substance, soul, Final Fantasy VII? I don't think of either of those things when playing that game. It's decent, I just don't get how so many see it as a the best JRPG(and especially best game) ever.

GOG needs to give us Laura Bow already.

I think the title should be "Not enough Humongous Entertainment point and click adventure games". ;)

Well thats not very nice. I would reply to you the way you spoke to me but it would make me look like an asshole instead of you. I'll just focus my attention on Monkey Island and leave you to sink in your own little world.
