Hey all. I'm copying this over from the ToEE Forum, as I'd really like a response, because I really want to play the game:

I have the Impulse version of ToEE, and have installed the Co8 modpack. The game runs fine (I can see the movies and everything ), but when I get to the menu the screen doesn't refresh. I can't see my cursor move, and the menus don't change if I click something, but I can hear it. Any help?

Bump?
Have you checked that you don't force anything, triple buffering, v-sync or such? If that used baldur''s gate engine, I think that in my baldur's gate 2 if I used 3d effects in game config, menu screen flickered or something.
Well.. just blindly hitting the bushes. =)

Different engine. I'll check the graphics options tomorrow, though.
Weird. I uninstalled ToEE and reinstalled it into my C directory, and then reinstalled the Co8 modpack. Now it crashes (with or without the pack) right after the initial loading screen. Any help?

EDIT: Before anyone asks, I have tried Compatibility and running as an Admin. Disabling intros causes the whole thing to crash right away.

Yeah, same thing with and without.

Gazoinks: Yeah, same thing with and without.
Did you try to install it again to the program files folder (I assume there it was before you reinstall the game)?

It was previously installed in Program Files, where I got the Screen Refresh problem. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it in C and now it's just crashing. I guess I could try reinstalling it in program files? Even if it goes back to the screen refresh problem though, that's not a huge amount of improvement.
It looks like impulse ToEE had some problems with co8 mod.

Hm, really? As I said, running ToEE without co8 has the same problem.

Hmm, I'm not having the same problems as that second thread, but this seems like a possibility. When I get home I'll try reinstalling and playing totally clean.
Odd. So I reinstall, launch the game clean, and now I'm back to my earlier screen not refreshing problem. Which is an improvement, I guess?
