We want all of our users to feel free to talk about whatever interests them--within reason. I'm a pretty staunch free-speech proponent (although I'd note that there are no constitutional rights to free speech on a private space such as this message board) and there is pretty much nothing so dangerous that I think it can't be talked about. That said, there *are* a number of things that I don't believe should be talked about here: anything against the TOS, for example, is included. Talking about gaming, game sales, new releases, and classics are all certainly fair game, and you should feel free to participate in the discussions in any constructive way you feel fit. So feel free to talk about the great deals on other sites. What we provide as a service is unique, and I believe that mentioning that there's a new bundle or a great sale on Steam doesn't threaten us at all; we're not competitors so much as we're an alternative.
I hope you hang out a while and get to know the place; you'll find that we really do have one of the best communities on the 'Net, with very little trolling, spamming, or personal attacks. Of course the topic of conversation may drift, but that's really how organic conversations tend to go anyway. :)

Young's double chocolate Stout is quite nice if I rememebr correctly.
I would also recommend the American Chocolate Stout from Rogue Ales http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/132/1118
Can't think of any others right now, which isn't good for someone who runs a beer festival :(

It's just a bit cramped in here. If there was a Completely Off Topic section next door we'd all relax and have a wonderful time.

I'd argue that, but I've got enough experience to know that Belgian beer Vs German beer arguments lead nowhere.
So long as you don't argue about Hoegarden being German, I'm cool.

I despise Steam from the depths of my heart (not so much the service itsef but how it has become this all consuming monstrosity that digs its tentacles everywhere, no matter where you buy your game you have to activate it on Steam), but I don't believe in "movements". Just keep people properly informed and let them make their own choices, in the end the market will decide. if people want to buy their games on Steam then let them do it and if they dont want to then they won't.

As for people who are accusing me of "preaching" - well, this is a free forum and if you don't like it then move along. I don't like your topics about Steam but I don't post in them - I made my own topic instead. So suck it up little(and overgrown) kids.
