That's what it says, but I don't know how much is true and how much they made up. One thing is for sure though, it is an amazing show. I am on the third episode and already love it.

Lol, I'm sure a lot of the behind closed doors stuff is still unknown, so they probably had a bit of creative license there. But it was close enough for courts to ban it from airing in Victoria, Australia (where the majority of the story happened) during the court cases. Fairly full on for sleepy old Australia.

Pretty true, to be honest. But then, there's a certain lie to it, as there is in all movies no matter how "true" they are.
Which Underbelly are you talking about, anyway? The first, modern one (Gangland Wars) or Tale of Two Cities?
Either way, the gangland wars was a shit storm to say the very least. A lot of people brutally killed, that particular "family" of organised crime pretty much destroyed itself from within.
Don't worry, it's still unsafe in Melbourne! And Sydney!
The courts decided to ban the first Underbelly here in Victoria due to on going criminal charges against a gangland killer. However, when I went up to Queensland to find a copy of the DVD, they didn't have it anywhere. So I assume it eventually got banned Australia wide?
Get a Cane Toad.. Apparently licking the toxins of it's back can cause hallucinagenic effects. Yet to try it, not really keen on licking a toad.

I'm watching the first season now, and as soon as I finish that I will watch Tale of Two Cities.

Underbelly rocks! One of my mates worked on a film with one of the mains from the soon to be released Season 3. I also met Tim McCunn (Brian Kane from Season 2) Very nice guy, contrary to his character!
