nijuu: What do you think the chances are that will actually happen, considering they own relic , would it interest Sega enough?
I imagine it's possible, Sega have a lot of money despite scaling back their business. Some people in Relic will surely tell them about it.

DodoGeo: While TQ was a great game, there's little loss with the IP as it took Greek mythology and turned it into an complete mockery and abomination of itself, thanks to THQ execs.

Grim Dawn should continue everything TQ did right, improving on it and all is well.

wpegg: Are you sure, I've been basing my studies on the Kevin Sorbo series "Hercules", and it seems fairly consistent?

:) - Greek Mythology has been the plaything of story tellers since it was written, why is TQ so different?
Awesome show. As is Xena!

Siannah: I'm by no means knowledgeable or even an expert in Greek mythology but ... the Hercules series... fairly consistent... I'm sorry man but this one screams for a facepalm.
That was kind of the point.

Why? Their depiction of the surfing competition between Hercules and Apollo seemed pretty accurate.

Yup, great shows! Loved the historical accuracy.
Isn't this kinda like using God of War as a history lesson?

No, God of War is about ancient Greek myths just like Titan Quest. Which one takes greater liberties? I'm no ancient Greek Myths major :)
Why are people going to video games expecting historical accuracy?

A good question

FantasyNightmare: Why are people going to video games expecting historical accuracy?
Just as good questions as why do people watch movie like John Carter and expect scientific accuracy.

My opinion of it is, that you should never let the truth come in the way of a good yarn.

StingingVelvet: The legacy IPs are going to be sold later, from what I have heard. Let us hope Sega buys Homeworld.

nijuu: The game wasn't made for its authenticity.......
Well the team behind said that it was supposed to be more authentical from the geography, arhitecture and lore. They had plans to recrate quests like the 12 labours of Hercules or stuff like the Argonauts or Odyssey, it all fell through because of pure stupidity of THQ executives.
That's why Immortal Throne was a great step up, because they were finally given more frredom in development.

You can find the whole story on the Crate forums what a nightmare project it was for the Iron Lore team.
