My current laptop (a Toshiba) has been great to me over the past 4+ years, but it's time for a new one. Problem is, I haven't kept up to date with hardware etc, and I now play most new games on my 360. That being said, I am looking to buy a laptop that will allow me to play new games and continue to do so for the next 3-4 years. I use my laptop for school every day, and while I realize a desktop is more economical it really doesn't fit my lifestyle right now. I recently came upon this sale from Toshiba, and think this might be a good way to go, but please, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I can get that laptop from Toshiba for 840 bucks, + whatever they charge for shipping. That is pretty much at the top of my budget, I'd like to be under 900. So here are my questions

1) Is this a good laptop?
2) Is this a good price?
3) Can anyone recommend a better/cheaper model?

Thanks in advance for your help!!
The laptop looks good but I don't know if the price is good.

Not sure about pricing of laptop's, but the core specs are pretty solid. The i7 chip is great, that should be plenty of ram for a laptop, and the graphics card is solid especially for a laptop version.

The only thing i would say would be the hard drive...good size, but i would make sure it has 64mb cache since its a 5400. Would be a nice laptop to toss in a solid state drive at some point.
1366x768 resolution on a 15.6" screen should be illegal.

Try checking out the forum at notebookreview.com. They have a subforum where you can post a thread and explain what you're looking for. People there are pretty helpful, and two years ago they assisted me in nailing down just the type of laptop I needed.
I'm with the other posters: specs are nice, not sure about the price... I took a look at other laptops, the price seems good as well. Good laptop as far as I can tell. Still, check reviews, make sure that there's no known hardware/software/firmware issues.
