At least they will be in 2011
Hmm... is this good or bad news?
Have to wait and see I guess.
By the Eye of Thundera, can it be true!?
Thunder... thunder...thunder... Thundercats, hoooo!
Oh snap! I'd watch this. Very yes.
Super, another childhood memory that will be bastardized... As if what they did to the Transformers and G.I. Joe isn't bad enough already.
Seriously, if they make it so the Thundercats had to flee their home planet because of environmental concerns or some other BS, I'll be annoyed. I can't remember why they sent Lion-o away any longer, but it wasn't that :).

^--- Entirely in agreement.
I would love this to be the exception, of course.

Actually, it was kind of an ecological disaster that forced the Thundercats to abandon Thundera (their planet exploded, though it's not really explained why). While they were trying to escape their dying planet, they were attacked by the Mutants of Plun-Darr, which forced them to Earth.

Yeah, this is kind of how I remembered it, but I didn't know if I was getting it confused with Krypton from Superman (hey, it's a 25 year old memory, gimme a break :)). However, I still will be annoyed if the Green movement co-opts it somehow to teach some sort of unneeded (imho) lesson on taking care of nature. A planet blowing up is more geological than ecological anyway.
I just get tired of people changing the basic plot for no reason whatsoever. For instance, why did they need to change G.I. Joe to a multi-national task force? Weren't they fine as"'real American hero[es]"?
Even though the A-Team wasn't a cartoon, I am curious to see what the remake movie will be like. I know they will be Gulf War vets instead of Vietnam vets, but that change makes sense to make it fit into a contemporary timeline. The big change I would make though is to make bullets actually hit something; the actual series was silly about how they made sure every one knew that nobody died (like with voice-overs after car crashes saying "Wow, I can't believe we made it!").

Well, from what I remember, Tygra was always a bit of a whining emo ... should fit right in. :)
Fun fact. One of the major writers for the Thundercats cartoon was murdered a week or two ago

I do indeed!
Whenever I think of Thundercats, I think of this.
