I recently found out about GOG.com.

I registered and bought some games that I missed the firs time around: Alpha Centauri, ARMA Gold, FarCry, and Fallout Tactics. I think the total price was only $30USD.

Super games! I have only installed AC, but I am already addicted to the gameplay.

Two big thumbs-up to GOG.com from this gamer!

Keep up the good work. Any chance we can see the old X-COM UFO Defense at this site?

One can only hope! UFO Defense is owned by 2K Games and they're not a publisher onboard GOG yet.

At the moment we don't have 'em. But I'd strongly recommend Jagged Alliance 2 as it is made of refined squad-based tactical strategy goodness. Also, the UFO games are a decent modern look at the X-COM series.

I bought and downloaded a copy of Jagged Alliance. I misread your post Mr. TheEnigmaticT! LOL I did not see the '2' and ended up buying the original JA. It looks like both games are rated highly so I will give JA a try this weekend and if I enjoy the gameply I will buy JA2.

JA2 is about 600000000000% better than the first one. Even if you don't like JA, you must still buy JA2 as it is one of the best games ever made.

And i've never heard him referred to as Mr. TheEnigmaticT before. I think it's more appropriate to call him Prof. TheEnigmaticT

If only the GOG version of Alpha Centauri included also the missing expansion pack... :( Then I might even buy it from GOG to replace my AC Planetary Pack (Alpha Centauri + Alien Crossifire) retail CD set. Same goes to certain other GOG games with missing expansion packs, e.g. Rainbow Six and R6: Rogue Spear.

But I guess the base versions are still better than nothing...
