It's a "think outside your experience" thing. To people like me who only play singleplayer and don't care about social features choosing DRM over not DRM seems crazy. If we think outside our experience though we can understand a lot of people like those features.

For me the biggest benefit is probably that I can buy games in the US which guarantees me uncensored and English versions for decent prices. And downloading everything with a local server. And that I can put my (non- big publisher) games on one central service, which I like. (I really don't care about any potential "steam going down" or "loosing access". I can handle any legal issue fine and if Steam goes under, there will be the pirate bay)
Interestingly enough, I went from "full piracy" towards 0% piracy due to the way Steam (or GOG) are handling it. With DRM free I need to "handle" my games a bit more. It's ok for old games, but with new games I want automated updates, DLC addition and all that.

So when is THQ releasing their games on GOG? I'll gladly buy them, they just need to release them on here already.

Hello,
There are a number of THQ games that interest me and I would most certainly like to purchase them. Nevertheless, none of the THQ games I wish to buy are currently being sold on GOG.com and thus I would like to inquire as to when THQ will be offering their titles on GOG.com as this is my retailer of choice. If this is not the relevant department, then kindly forward my email to a relevant party.
Thank you and kind regards,
*****
Hi *****,
There are no plans at the moment.
If this changes we will let people know via THQ.com and our Facebook and Twitter pages.
Kind Regards
The THQ.com Team

Yes, that's the kind of reply I'd have expected. =\ Well, we'll see if things change in the coming weeks.
keeveek: No reason to do so :P They will be bought by Ubisoft, and Ubi is already here, so THQ games are coming to GOG anyway :P :P :P I do hope this is the case. This is the latest news from the stock market:
