The more Red Dwarf tried doing a continuous storyline, the worse it got. ... So stop looking for continuity, maybe they'll realize it! :D

While this is true...I would like to know if they used the original aired ending to Series VIII, OR if they used the much better "alternate ending". Which I found a lot better...other than the almighty kick. :)

iainmet: sad Holly news

bevinator: That's a shame. I vastly preferred him to the female Holly variety.
I like both of them.

I do hope that he's willing to swallow his price a bit for the sake of the fans. If what I read in this thread is true, he's certainly entitled to be upset with Grant Naylor, I hope though that he realizes how missed he would be if he doesn't return.

OTOH, I'd love to see Queeg show up again, although I can't imagine how they could do it.

I miss Queeg too, and that whole episode was absolutely hilarious.

It would be hard for them to bring him back, although they could, presumably they could come across a back up, the hard thing would be writing it in a way that they would want or need for him to come back.

I think they really should have used him for that recent episode with the AI run amok.

Well, feasibly it could also be the result of them trying to get Holly back online. Pulling up Queeg's file by mistake or compiling his source into it's own program thinking it a back up for Holly.

Actually, I am surprised they wouldn't have used Queeg as well. Unlike Norman, they could get away with another actor playing the part since his facial parameters could have been changed due to being coded differently.

A back up of Queeg?

***SPOILERS***

You guys remember that Queeg was just Holly right? As in literally just Holly taking the piss.

Of course, just saying a backup of Queeg would be a backup of Holly. :P

This is why you need GPS on your phone.
thanks for the reminder / confirmation Red Dwarf Season 10 has started!

i was waiting and waiting and the episodes never showed up i thought i dreamed the whole series X thing w/ a release date.

hopefully Kryton has a few new attachments ^_^
and cant wait to see what Judas Rimmer has gotten them all into.

i loved Rimmer's World where it was clones of himself and within 1 generation he had been put into jail by an army of his peers, hopefully some of the new eps blow that one outta the water.

I watched about five minutes, but in that time I decided that I couldn't get past the audience laughter.

Now, I normally have no problem with audience laughter, but for some reason, some of it in RDX seems...overzealous, like, incredibly loud laughter at EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE JOKE.
