Max Payne and Hitman were the best.
Brilliant! :D
Timeless....simply timeless.

I can't top it but here is a nice picture of the water cooler at my office.

Hitman was good!
All good, but Minecraft really got me giggling.
Thanks for a nice laugh. The Hitman was a particularly funny one.

Hehe, instantly reminds me of Diablo

I wonder who started that trend though. The first game that I know of that had a red health potion was the first Prince of Persia. I think there were blue potions in that as well, although I can't remember what they did :P

The original Zelda has red but I don't think it had mana.
It reminds me a similiar video about animals' eating habits :>

It didn't the blue potion could be used twice, it turned into a red health potion after you used it.

Ahhhh. I never played much of it. I'm sitting here going through all the NES games, and Atari, and Colecovision games I did play trying to come up with stuff. XD

I hate you s23021536! :P An hour from now I'm going to be sitting in my room with spread sheets and crap laying out all over the floor ready to write a thesis on this.

XD i'm sorry...
I'm off to bed though so I'll just say "Good luck with that!"
If I may share a thought : perhaps a good place to start would be to look for games that indicated a player's health with little hearts, for which red would be a natural colour. Its only natural then for health power ups to also be red and perhaps they came in potion form. But the blue mana potions is a tough one :P
If my theory pans out you can include me in the acknowledgements of your thesis :D

Might as well; you and I would be the only ones brain dead enough to want to read it. :P
