No, it comes with the room so it's really the typical 'first-world' sort of gripe. Just about every chain hotel here in the US offers free wifi of varying quality these days, though I remember the time when we would try to book at Wingate hotels since they were the only ones to consistently offer a high-speed connection for free.
I'm at a new hotel today. By 'new', I mean I'm back at the one I was in for the first few nights this trip. This one is still slow, though 1.5 times "faster" than the one I checked out from this morning, but it also offers the benefit of disconnecting with hourly regularity.
