I just discovered the latest version was released about 2 weeks ago (v1.03).

What's changed (ultra short summary):

* Graphic overhaul: New Ambient method, Interaction Shader and HDR-Lite Post-Processing
* Various code changes with regards to AI, physics, sound, location system, inventory
* New textures (lilies, skyboxes, metal, roof and brick textures)
* New female AI including two new vocal sets "Wench" and "Lady"
* A couple of new models, fixed a few fixed issues with existing models
* Built-in Mission Downloader, plus some changes to the settings GUI
* Added Werebeast and Horse AI, spiders upgraded
* New update system supporting differential downloads
* A couple of new systems are still in preparation, so expect more goodness to come in TDM 1.04 (Overhauled Level of Detail system, AI pathing upgrades and more)
Good to see that they've updated the graphical shaders. I can't wait to give this a test run when I can find the time to. I hope v1.04 will fix the lag issues I have with some of the bigger city maps.

You guys can find the complete changelog here

-added- Ooo check out this pretty cool map if you have TDM installed:

v1.05 has been released. What's new?
This update is primarily a bugfixing release, though there are a couple new assets, and a useful new "alarm entity" added by Tels to create area-wide alerts for AI. Grayman has worked on a number of pathfinding fixes and improvements, and New Horizon has tweaked our blackjacking collision boxes to make KOs more reliable--feedback suggests that this removes most of the difficulties some people were having with blackjacking. This update also fixes some problems that were introduced in the last update, including crashes on certain missions.

Run tdm_update.exe to download the new update.

Note: While missions are fully compatible with this release, you can NOT load any previously saved games after updating to 1.05. If you're in the middle of playing a mission, you might want to finish it before updating.
v1.04 was also released not too long ago in February. The main changes are:
This update provides a number of new assets for mappers, including mage and thief characters, new vocal sets, and an improved LOD system. Players will also benefit from smaller saved game sizes, more intelligent AI pathfinding, and greebo's brand new mission preview screen (see image). Players can now see details and screenshots of missions before choosing whether or not to download them.
I haven't had the time to play since 1.03, but I'm glad they reduced the savegame sizes. I remember my save games retching up to several hundred megabytes before I reformatted my PC last time.

The Dark Mod team is currently working on a full-length campaign for TDM.

We are pleased to announce that we are working on The Crucible of Omens, a full-length campaign for The Dark Mod, the moody Doom 3-based stealth game by Broken Glass Studios. Playing as the thief and adventurer John Welland Hadley, you will embark on a quest to find a powerful artifact inherited from a shadowy past. You journey will take you throughout The Dark Mod universe, discovering new and exotic locations and meeting new and interesting factions and characters. The Crucible of Omens spans multiple large missions and is being worked on by many well-known TDM mappers and team members.

Features include:

* A wealth of different environments from the smoke-darkened city of Bridgeport to the icy northlands, from opulent mansions to the cobwebbed depths of forgotten catacombs.
* Gameplay centred on stealth, the pursuit of in-game clues and open-ended exploration, utilising the technical possibilities of The Dark Mod to create a complex, interactive game world.
* New opponents and characters. What drives the pirates of Wrecker's Reach? Who are the mysterious Urielites? And what lurks in the mind of Lord Blackstone?
* AI conversations and player character comments.
* A unique story experienced through in-game actions, animated briefings and dynamic objectives.
Watch out, Eidos!
Fook yeah...now if they could only add in some hub based gameplay like in Deadly Shadows, or even a tad more interaction, and it'd be even better. :)
