KavazovAngel: Damn it. I thought you mean there is a real thief here on GOG!

And they haven't suspected a thing!

Whiteblade999: Mod DB has a fanmission pack.

Yeah but I really recommend you guys try Patently Dangerous first. It is soooooooo good.
It's the only game that made me really fear one enemy, who can be killed by normal weapons, yet I shudder with every step I make.

@lowyhong, i haven't tried it yet, but have been waiting for a publically available version to be released for quite some time. The videos look awesome.

lowyhong: Ya it's a joke man, he's our resident cat though, and we know cats aren't very smart, so you're not wrong on that note anyway :P lol
By the way v1.01 is out already. From what I hear, it's very stable and almost bug-free. That's about as full version as it gets; I don't think there's going to be a campaign anytime soon though.

My bad, sorry :P
... i guess i'll have to find a different cat to kick >_>

lowyhong: but suffice to say, this FM is almost on the same level as the Cradle level in Thief: Deadly

That's a hell of a compliment :)
Might have to try it.

Can only echo Lowyhongs comments - I've been playing with Dark Mod since the turn of the year and it's superb.
They are always looking for new blood to create missions / campaigns, so any budding mapmakers amongst you get on it! Theres only about 14 - 15 missions to download at the moment (and 1 campaign in the pipeline), but the word is the tools to create maps / levels are intuitive and quite easy to use.
One condition - anything created cant reference the 'Thief' universe in any way, lest copyright infringement occurs. Thus, although the 'Builders' in Dark Mod look suspiciously similar to the 'Hammerites' from Thief, they are actually in no way associated, linked or copied.....honest!
The Doom 3 engine and way they have used it pushes the dark mod beyond anything the original series has had, IMHO.
Get on it, you Taffers!

I think they have really surpassed the achievements of the first two Thief games in almost every way possible. I liked the Thief: DS lockpicking minigame, but it really took away the tension too easily, and even the 4-5 tumbler locks were too easy. TDM's lockpicking is ace - you really have to get that sweet spot quick, and there's immense pressure to quickly get it fast before the guard returns (that is, if you want to ghost through). And the mantling and rope climbing is brilliant. I really like how easy it is to mantle, and you can mantle almost anything if it's in your reach.
And I don't even have to discuss how awesome the object manipulation is. ;).
Gentlemen, I present to you....The Dark Mod's first campaign! 3-missions worth of good stuff.
I should probably give this mod another try. I don't think it worked for me the first time around.

Maybe I can help. What went wrong?

I can't remember the specifics now. Just that I gave it a go ages ago and it was one of those I couldn't get working. I'll give it another go sometime soon.
