Crewdroog: Yeah I've been pondering Mage, pure mage. Low health, max mana, wear robes for super running. I can see myself destroying everything but then dying if a mudcrab sneezes on me. Destruction and summoning? Destruction alteration? What magic schools are you using?
Destruction and mostly ice spells, because they tend to slow the enemy down. For a full mage, yes, summoning sounds like a decent idea, and illusion I suppose if there's still invisibility in Skyrim.
Heh. funny enough, since i'm waiting for my ps4 to return from the repair center i went back to 360 and yesterday i started playing Skyrim again. I'm rolling with a boring human archer, i think i'll avoid the secondary quests since they're those dumb "go to a boring dungeon, kill everyone and loot garbage from chests so that you can return to recieve x amount of gold that you will barely use because there's not alot of armor/weapons better than yours since you will need to do boring smithing for them".

Meh...

Yup there is still invisibility. I really don't find myself using it like I did in Oblivion though.

....wait.. you don't like lootz? I don't understand.. ;)

Yeah, that is one thing about ES, the armor seems to be meh. There is like one set of awesome armor for each type (light/heavy/robe) and once you get it you will never, ever change it. ever.

Oh, i do love loot but going into dungeons, defeating the dungeon boss and opening a chest:

- 7 gold
- 1 Silver Sword (Geez, thanks, i already have a elven one that does 60% more damage with some enchantment included and i already have 8 of those from the bandits that were IN THIS DAMN DUNGEON)
- 1 wooded spoon
- 1 Dumb letter that you will ignore.

*Spoilers*

Again, my rant is with the dumb smithing. Remember all that Dragon stuff that you get from killing them? Yeah, that's for making the best armor in the game. What, you cannot do it? Oh, right, you need to improve your smithing.... -.-"

I sold all those things cause my dumbass was like, "so heavy, worth gold, probably expensive junk?". lol I haven't done much with smithing cause I'm lazy. If I wasn't a ranged fighter I'd probably be mad about the dragon armor thing too. And those wooden spoons are used to craft spoon armor, fyi. ;)

That's another thing from TES games that is a bit annoying. You end up with tons of weapons and armor worth thousands apiece, yet most merchants who will buy them don't carry more than a 1 or 2 thousand. It was similar in Morrowind, but at least it had the Creeper merchant who had 5k and Mister Mudcrab merchant who had even more, though I can't remember how much.

It just ends up kind of pointless having more loot than you know what to do with, and no way to sell it to make a profit. They should have either increased merchant gold or decreased item gold value. Hopefully any future TES games will fix that.

I have been hording the dragon stuff but considering that i won't level up the smithing i'm not sure what to do with those.... About the spoon armor, meh, let me raid 1 dungeon that i'll get enough for 3 armor sets...

And the thing is, what's the point of getting gold? Sure, you can buy better houses and put stuff on it but eh... i want to play a rpg and not the sims...

I agree with the sims thing. The house dlc... meh. I did like that they made the merchants' gold vanished when you sold stuff though. Made it a little trickier to amass great wealth.

What would you say to more randomized loot in ES (like old diablo)? That way you don't get bored with what you are wearing and dungeon crawls are more fun. It could be good loot, it could be bad.
You could try these just for the RP experience:

- Warrior

Race: orc
Weapon: two handed sword
Armor: light, better to be leather of fur (for that Conan feeling..)
Skills: two handed, light armor, smithing
Background: As an orc you live in the stronghold. You are an expert warrior and you use your power to ensure the safety of your people. You raid dungeons just for sport and you care to bring any metals you find to your strongholds crafter so he can make new ones.

- Pilgrimer

Race: wood elf
Weapon: bow/ dagger
Armor: light (preferably fur because of the low temperatures)
Skills: restoration magic, alchemy, archery, speech, sneak
Background: While being away from your homeland due to your Pilgrimage, you live in the woods. Currently you're stationed just outside the community of Riverwood, in a little shack. Your everyday task is mainly the security of the woods and the search of a relic that can bring back to your tribe at the end of your Pilgrimage.

- Draugr's Bane

Race: nord
Weapon: sword and shield
Armor: light
Skills: block, smithing, one handed
Skills: Resident of Riverwood, you care about the safety of the region. To ensure this, you've been tasked to clear all the tombs of the undead. In your free time, you hang out by the village or taking walks in the beautiful forests.

:D

I don't know, i think all the game is... pointless. I don't like the level up system, i don't like the loot, i don't like the smithing, etc. I think the game it's just not for me, they would probably be better without changing and upseting the fans.

I will wait for the next fallout (since i prefer the combat system) and that Hellraid/Kingdom Come for my fps rpg fix.

snowkatt: blargh play fallout 3 in the nude !
I always do.
