And I loved the setting, Ivalice is an amazing world rich with lore.

No More heroes (Wii), some people might tell you it's a good game, but it really is not. Yet, I still kind of liked it for it's messed up crazyness; I probably wouldn't be so optimistic if i hadn't gotten it from the bargain bin. If anyone wants to give it a try, download a 100% complete savegame from the internet and then start a New Game +, that way you can skip all the stupid money grinding and mini games and just do the assasintation missions.

No More heroes 2 on the other hand fixed a lot of problems and I would actually consider it a good (or at leaset decent) game. it still has its share of issues, but there is nothing infuriatingly bad about it.

From what I remember it was the first to use the world from the online Final Fantasy titles, at least the type of setting and the world name itself. It didn't have too much more in common than that. It was indeed a rich world. It was only the second most dialogue heavy final fantasy as well, and the first to use real-time battle systems, as they were trying to compete with MMO's. It worked out well. It's too bad PC gamers haven't had the liberty of playing more of these games. They must've stopped at FF8 on the PC due to sales or perhaps hardware. FF7 on PC took up most of my 8 gig hard drive :O (IBM Aptiva from 1997).

Majesty 2. The game clicked for me, and I really enjoyed it. More so even than the first game. I even played through most of the expansions/dlc for it.

I remember a few from the C64 - Time Tunnel, Skate Rock, NYC and Rock n' Wrestle,. actually we played Rock n' Wrestle so much the tape snapped!

Dunno about actual PC games though, it seems pretty hard to make a truly bad FPS in my eyes having played all the way through You Are EMPTY and Kingpin, I can't remember if I made it all the way through Daikatana or not, it was the fatal crash bugs that stopped me though and not the gameplay, there was one point where a wizard ran up a tree just made it BSoD I think I cheated to get past that one but I think I might have hit another that made be give up again....

Cheesy, needlessly gory, nonsencial, illogical, sickening... Phantasmagoria 2 is my pick!

Ivalice was first introduced in Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1, you must be thinking of FFXI MMO which had a completely different from Ivalice.

I love the Amiga games Eye of Horus and Blade Warrior, both of which were pretty much critically panned.

On the PC I like the low-rated and forgotten Global Domination, and found a modicum of retrograde amusement in Gender Wars. Wouldn't move either of those into the "love" column though.

In the eyes of other people: Final Fantasy XIII - I still don't get the criticism. Beautiful game.

In my eyes: Heroes of Might and Magic 1. So bad compared to the sequel or maybe Ghostbusters on the NES. It came with my console and I loved it to death, even if now I realize it is a turd.

Sherlock Holmes: Secret of the Silver Earring
I agree, the stealth parts are cheesy, camera very confusing, some of puzzles absolutely illogical (I still don't understand the famous third automaton riddle) but I love those quiz parts at the end of each chapter. You have to fully understand what happened before continuing and it's just great! Plus it has a lot of classical music (Schumann is perhaps my favorite!)

Probably American McGee's Bad Day L.A. as in terms of gamedesign and technical execution the game is a total nightmare but the humor made me enjoy the hell out of the game.

Also I was among the first people to enjoy it as the game's first release was actually on the cover DVD of the Polish magazine CD-Action and I got the issue the first day it was available. Made me enjoy the game even more. :D
