The new series from Tellttale games. This time it is based on the Fable series from Vertigo, where the protagonist is Sherif Bigby.

The comic series are fantastic, and this is a very good source material for one of Telltales adventure games. it is scheduled for release in the third quarter of this year. I am looking forward to this.

Some material:

I wonder if this (and even The Walking Dead) will ever come to GOG. I don't get why some Telltale games are on here and others (like The Walking Dead and Strong Bad) are absent.
I'm looking forward to this also. I've liked most of the Telltale adventure games but they nailed the formula with their take on The Walking Dead (in my opinion) and I haven't read any of the material involved with this game so it'll all be fresh to me.

Walking Dead uses a lot of online features, surprisingly. Like a lot of modern games I think its ties to Steam have a lot more to do with Steamworks tools and features than DRM. Maybe once the whole thing has been out a while they will release it here.

On topic: Fables is one of the last comics I ever read. I quit comics when I was 19 or so but kept some Vertigo stuff going, the last of which being Fables and Lucifer. I liked Fables, might give this game a try. That said these Heavy Rain style adventure games aren't really my thing and I haven't played Walking Dead yet.
The Walking Dead in fact isn't really tied to Steam as I have it on the Telltale store and it works fine. However it uses quite a lot of online stuff (episode 1 is the installer and is responsible of downloading other episodes as well as the DLC I guess, it connects to a server so that you can see what decisions you made and what were...).

My guess is that they'll make a build for GOG.com one day but not now, it's too recent and online stuff could be problematic.

For Strong Bad I'd say it's more a niche game (i.e. it is for adventure gamers that know Strong Bad) and they are not interested (or GOG.com maybe) in making the additional work of bring it here (I don't remember if it has been available drm-free in a bundle before).

Anyway, I'm waiting for more informations about the Walking Dead DLC as well as about The Wolf Among Us but Telltale has been pretty quiet about them except for the announcements.

The german boxed edition works without Steamworks...

Cheers, that does look nice. Hoping for the best Telltale game yet. At least I think it is the best source material they have had.

Seeing as they released it with DRM in a humble bundle, I doubt it.
Telltalle seems to be willing to sell their games on as many stores as possible. My bet is that it'll come here in the end (after the end of the season, of course). We'll get them at a huge price with a huge discount when it arrives, as it did for the others.
