Angry Video Game Nerd, Spoony, and Nostalgia Critic. I find all three of these people to be rather strange. They use cheap gimmicks like cursing, puppetry and costumes to review bad games and movies. I find none of them to be particularly funny, yet I watch almost all of their stuff. I don't know why, but there's something entertaining about watching them. I'd say I like Spoony the best because I tolerate him the most. I can't watch too many AVGN reviews until I have to take a break, and I can be pulling my hair out during Nostalgia Critic reviews. I'm not sure whether I truly enjoy them or if I am a glutton for punishment.

What, no Yahtzee? :P Isn't he the pinnacle of witty reviews of crap :P Well, with the occasional positive review among them ;).

Well, everybody loves Mystery Science Theater 3000, so applying it to video games is a logical progression...

The main difference with Yahtzee is I feel he is a league above all the others. He conducts himself in a more professional manner, he's British, and he doesn't dress up in costumes or make weird voices often.

Do you guys watch Keith Apicary's Talking Classics videos? It's more videogame related comedy than reviews, but he cracks me up.

Angry Video Game Nerd is just childish. I honestly don't know how anyone older than 12 can think hes funny. Way too much cursing and poop jokes.
Yahtzee is at least clever and witty with his negative reviews.

His Wolfenstein review in limerick form certainly had me shitting myself laughing.

I'm 27, and I think AVGN is quite funny. He's become notable better of late though, some of the earlier shows are on the plain side.
If you'd like to see a truly unfunny game reviewer in the style of AVGN, go look up Irate Gamer on Youtube.

My favorites are probably AVGN and Spoony. Love those guys. Nostalgia Critic is hit or miss.

I'm 38 and I think AVGN is funny, or at least his older stuff is. I don't watch him as much as I used to so I don't know how funny he is now. And I've seen yahtzee make "I did your mom "jokes, which isn't an improvement over poop jokes

The quality of Rolfe's videos have been degrading a lot since his 2006 stuff, but he puts up some nice stuff here and there.
I personally love Spoony's stuff, his comments feel like what I could hear from a friend when playing a terrible game or watching a godawful movie. He just put up a new video yesterday which I seemed to miss, going to watch it right away.

I don't feel the quality of his movies have been degrading. It's just that he's already reviewed all the obviously good stuff, and has to pick among an ever increasing list of semi-obscure games to review - like Hydlide.
