Dear Friends

I have got The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut from GOG.com and I would like to register this game, so I have created an account via Launcher - Register, I have activated an account and I need to enter serial number code to register. There is an information that it's situated on the back cover of the manual. This version from GOG.com is a digital version with manual.pdf file and there is no serial code.

Where and how I am supposed to find legal serial code for registration process?
I would be glad for any help.
Best regards.

Sincerely

VAMET

I'm afraid you have to ask tech-support to provide you such a key

buy why on earth you would want to register an DRM-free, complete game?
Dear keeveek

I see you are from Poland as I am, but OK, we may speak English, so everybody else will understand, what we are talking about.

I would like to buy The Witcher 2 from GOG.com and there is an information in FAQ:

- - - - - - -
What languages will The Witcher 2 be localized in?

The Witcher 2 Digital Premium Edition on GOG.com will contain full localization in English, French and German, plus cinematic and text localization in Italian and Spanish. If you register the game, you'll be able to download the fully localized Polish version as well, courtesy of CDP RED.
- - - - - - -

So as far as I know, there is a need of entering serial code key to register any product on CD PROJEKT RED site. I have bought The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut from GOG.com and I have tried to register (to try, how it will look like, when I will buy The Witcher 2) and there is a need of entering serial code key. So if I don't own serial code key with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut, so how I will know, if I will receive a serial code key for The Witcher 2. I would like to be able to download Polish language pack, to play in fully localized Polish version of this game.

So I am trying GOG.com with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut, how it looks like in this case before I will buy second part of this game.

Best regards.

Sincerely

Witcher EEDC != Witcher 2

You don't need a serial for the first witcher, as everything is included.

For Withcer 2, you will get a serial code directly with your buy (available since yesterday).

I bought it yesterday and instantly got my key.

If you really want one for Witcher 1, I would say you should contact the support from GOG. They might help you out.
I'll confess, since registration is not needed for anything at all in TW1, I don't know if support has a cache of reg keys to give out. Send an email to support and, if you don't hear back in a few days post here again as a reply to this and I'll go and hound Firek.
You have to request it to tech support.
I already requested mine yesterday but haven't received an answer yet.

In order to request the key go to "Support \ Witcher EE",
click "I can't find solution for my problem",
on the drop-down box "I have a problem with:" choose "multiplayer key request".
Write a subject and a message then click "Send".
Dear Friends

Thank you very much for all your replies. Yep, I know my English is hard to understand, but I think you understand it well :)

I have sent to tech support a request for serial key for The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut.

I will notice, when I will receive any answer about my problem/case.

Thank you once more.
Best regards.

PS. TheEnigmaticT, is GOG.com is Polish related Company? CD PROJEKT is your Partner?

VAMET, one additional question for you: why you want to buy GOG version of the game, when the Polish retail copy is much cheaper? DRM issues or anything else?
Dear keeveek

That's very good question, which I even didn't realize.
Hmm, what is the Polish retail copy price?
Best regards.

The retail copy of The Witcher 2 PREMIUM edition is 99 zlotys (which is around 25 euros!) on gram.pl site Link for the Premium Edition
and the collector's edition is 270 zlotys (around 65 euros)

GOG price is adjusted to the EU and US customers. As you may know, games in Poland are much cheaper than in other countries and the price is adjusted to the Polish thin wallets.

I think that retail copies price may vary depending on the country in which it's sold.
You get exclusive Gog extras, an easy to install installer file(s), and no drm. :)
This is also the point. If i lived in the US and have a choice between GOG version and any other version, i would pick GOG version.

I think the game registration is needed for posting on the TW official forums.
Dear TheEnigmaticT

I have got an answer from Ethaar:

-------
Hello,

Publisher of The Witcher (CD Projekt) decided that, since our games are DRM free, there is no need to include a CD-key in our version of the game and did not provide us with any keys. Registration does not bring any benefits so you are not losing anything. Happy gaming :)

So I cannot register The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut?
I called to CD PROJEKT RED and there they told me, if I will not register, they cannot support me officialy, if I will have a problem with my game and for Serial Key I should speak with GOG.com.

So any chance to receive Serial Key, I think I should get one, because I have bought a full game, but with no serial key and I cannot register this product.

Please write to Firek.

Best regards.

Sincerely
