Sorry, it my last post was sort of missinforming. I have learned now that Impulse is not DRM free, you can't install the game offline. Much like Steam.

lukaszthegreat: Atari does not publish witcher in Albania, ... ,Turkey, and Ukraine?
Couldn't you guys go with Valve or something instead of 'racist' Atari? I prefer digital distribution over retail one and would love to get witcher on steam.
meh. I'll be back in Poland in december I'll pick up the game then (as well as rockstar collection and drm-free spore and Mass Effect ). the game will be in polish language right?

"The Witcher IS ALSO AVAILABLE in Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Ukraine."
Please read carefully.

What are you talking about?
I am asking whether Atari distributes games in these countries. I wonder whether it is the reason you can buy witcher over steam there (and uncensored version) while every other Atari's game is NA exclusive.
read more carefully please.

Vandal: Yes, for now, the release on both (in North America) is the censored version. We may have something to solve that at some point soon, or not, maybe. I make no commitments or promises.

If you ever solve that, I'm buying another copy. Guarunteed. :D However for now I'll just take the free patch.
The release date for North America is the 16th as stated before.. guess what? It seems Atari is guilty of one of the things that piss me off about the releases of games these days. More often that not the so called "release date" is actually nothing more than the "shipping date" to stores. This means many stores won't have it on day of "release." I've called around all of the gaming stores in the area and none of them have it yet (and I'm in a Capital city.) One store has told me to call around 4pm local time in case they have it in today, but he can't be sure. EB Games gave me a specific date though. The 24th of September.
I didn't buy it originally because I had heard about the bugs (then promptly forgot about it when real life stuff stepped in.) But I do intend to buy this edition. I just wish publishers would stop listing the shipping date as the release date.
The Witcher EE - NA Blood patch released. If you got the NA version of the game, you must download this to see the blood. Thanks for the quick support CD Projekt RED. :)

Is there any way to force dumbheads from Atari to release TW:EE worldwide (I mean worldwide not in several Middle/Easter European countries) on Steam?
Why is there French, German, Spanish, Italian languages when the game is not distributed in those countries? That's illogical.

That's because you can play the game in those languages if you wish.. so audio French or Italian, text is English or Spanish or whatever.. and you can change these options during the game as well :)
Yeah, I can and thank you for that. But the can't or they forced to buy retail version... What a discrimination.
I went ahead and bought a copy from Game.co.uk.. more on principle about the censorship crap than anything else. Why pay full price for an inferior version when for a few bucks more you can get the full thing as it was meant to look by CD Projekt.

First was Mass Effect, now this.
Last year I didn't even glance at the game, since my friends were whining about bugs all the time and I didn't think my system could handle it.
Now I got the EE and I'm finally sobering up after about 12 hours of playing.
My faith in modern RPGs is restored. Huge bear hug to CD Projekt !

yeah you say this but we all know you just got it cause you want to look at triss' boobs ;)
I'm going to be honest with you,
The Witcher never struck my interest.
I was like 'lol, another PC rpg I won't play. seems boring as hell.'
And you know what, it still seems fairly boring.
But, after reading this review, I think I might actually get the Enhanced edition, because it looks like there was a lot of polish and work put into it, and whether or not it caters to my actual interests, doesn't bar it from being a good game. Plus, I'm a sucker for game music, especially music inspired by a game sound track, nobody farkin does that, puts a CD of music inspired by the game in the dang package.
You know what, if more developers followed CD Projeckts example, I'd die from overstimulation.
Ha! And it's a great music, I have to add, I'm listening to it for quite some time :-)
Did anyone else get two game manual's and no game guide with their uk edition of the EE? i did.. i ended up dling the bonus pack from the witcher site just to see what i missed with the game guide.. wouldn't of minded having that in book form but oh well.
