Lots of in-game footage!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to GOG.com, DRM-free in 2014. We're genuinely excited about the prospect of distributing this title, as we believe that CD Projekt RED is about to make history with this one. A vast and detailed open world, dark and rich atmosphere, dynamic tactical combat, and excellent mature writing the series is well known for--everything about it sounds simply perfect. Understandably, every RPG fan is getting more and more anxious to play the third Witcher game, us included! Alas, just like everyone else, we have to wait. There is, however, a simple way to sneak a peek at how the game looks in action. Namely, we can all watch this VGX special trailer, made mainly out of in-game footage!

Remember: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available DRM-free on GOG.com in 2014. We'll be keeping you updated on all developments in this matter.

You´re not alone - my poor PC hiccups with Witcher 2 (I barely meet the lowest criteria), third one would be unplayable.
Gosh, I need to start saving for a new machine.

Good thing I've been planning to restructure my machine park (doing a major upgrade of the main machine in the process). I doubt my Athlon II X2 250 with a Radeon 5750 will handle that thing very well.

Now, you damned well better tell me ASAP when preorders of the collector's retail edition will appear (though, I'd guess that's partially dependent on local retailers).

It´s irony that I´m telling that I will not buy it on the plattform of it´s developer---and that I´m telling this on the same website.

Anyways, there are still some games left I simply have to buy in Retail Collectors Edition and Witcher III is one of them.
Well, I buy both, same with Witcher 2. GOG version for the awesome convenience and safety, and Collector for the goodies. Plus I know that it is money well spent - CDP will just use it to create more awesome games for me.


(even if the recent news about hiring multiplayer devs is worrying. I would prefer if they focused on singleplayer only, always)

I don't like the trailer - too much blood and fire - feels like a class b zombie, horror, action movie, not like an epic rpg. What about the non brutal aspects of Witcher?

Sorry, but if you have old hardware chances are high it won't. Why not waiting until you upgrade and playing then. You won't have the same piece forever, right?

Uhhh, I am sooo getting this game on gog.com. The first 2 games were superb, so I have high hopes for this one. And even if it sucks, just releasing a AAA title without DRM is worth my money!

I say money you would put into a console instead use to upgrade your PC. Console BS is getting to me anyways at this point so...

That's what I said... money you would put into a console. I've been quite unhappy with the last generation of consoles, and the newest ones aren't getting any money from me. Exclusives better be sure to make their consoles stay alive because I'm not, I can live without Mario and other similar games, If the Witcher 3 is a quality game then it's probably what's going to push me to upgrade my new gaming rig more until it works, but I'll have to see.

Maybe I should play the first two games first...

I so agree with your sentiment. Plus if there is anything I have learned about the CD Projekt it's that even if the game had some issues at the launch there will be a patch that fixes all the major problems.

Huh, never really imagined the Aen Elle looking like that, I had a more Elder Scrolls high elf image in mind.

Really sad to see Geralt go if this is truly his last tale, I'll be intrigued to see how they return to the series if they ever do after this; I was thinking maybe a game set right after the Conjunction of the Spheres or maybe one that has the player traverse different planets and or time like Ciri did.
