I just preordered both the physical Collectors Edition here in Australia from EBGames and also the GOG Digital Version and I was just wondering if the Collectors Edition will give me a GOG Key, because if it does then I won't need to keep the preorder for the Digital Edition.

If it doesn't then I'm happy to keep the GOG preorder and support CD Projekt RED & the GOG Team! :D

At this point, there are no plans for redeeming retail codes on GOG. May change in the future.

It isn't confirmed yet, that the Collectors Edition will include a GOG key, but it's possible and in case it doesn't, I'm sure they'll sooner or later offer a Backup service for Witcher 3 as they did with 1 & 2, where you can simply enter your CD key to get a copy on GOG. I'd wait for further official confirmation, as there's still some time to go until release.

Or you could just drop a mail to support. They are very friendly and helpful in these cases where we can only just speculate.

To what I remember you could redeem W1 and W2 retail versions on GOG, so I don't see why not for W3

I just paid my deposite with EB Games for the physical C.E. as I want the Witcher Medallion and and art book.

Looks like I now may have to buy the GoG version as well.

I would be happy if they gave the physical C.E. purchasers a discount for the GoG version.
