"Overnight, we received word that The Witcher 2 had received an MA15+ rating for "Strong violence, sex scenes, nudity and coarse language". With the game being rated 18+ in the UK, did the developers change anything for the Australian system? We've been in touch with Australian distributors Namco Bandai who can confirm that they did - and here's what it was.

Only one thing was changed: Geralt is no longer able to choose to accept sex as a reward for successfully completing a side quest. The idea of receiving sex as a reward was not suitable for inclusion within an MA15+ classification, so Namco Bandai requested that CD Projekt remove the option of choosing to have sex as one of the rewards for that quest. The quest and the character who offers it are still in the game, but presented in a "slightly different context".

We are assured that this is the only change made to the Australian version of the game: the rest of the game remains untouched."

This does mean however that my GOG.com version will still be 100% uncensored right? Please say it does because id hate to have my preorder cancelled or something like happened on steam.

That's for RETAIL hard copy copies...not the Gog version.
Yeah, I gathered as much. But since steam copies were cancelled due to it I was afraid. :P

Further proof that politicians may be married, but have never actually spoken with their wives or actually had sex.

Not many people know of the Take Your Children To Give To Politicians So They Seem Wholesome Tax Act of 1873.

They had sex through a sheet with a hole in it?? :D
Its not even like I want the sex. I just want the game the way that CD Project intended. With all the bells and whistles on breasts that they put in
Like I said in the other thread, I wonder if they removed the same thing in Fallout: New Vegas.
GOG doesn't comply with Australian censorship laws and still sells to Aussies (case in point, this Aussie bought Fallout 2 on GOG and the game lets me off all the kids I want). Witcher 2 should be fine.
English criminal colony is weak. Censorship is not answer to problem! It is only hidink it, real problem is in mind of people. So, put pullet in mind. Problem is solve.
If you download the GOG.com version in Australia then what you get is definitely not "100% uncensored". Off the top of my head, they removed the ability to sleep with prostitutes in Flotsam, the elf woman in chapter 2 (Geralt will automatically decline her offer), and the succubus as well.

Not quite. If you download the game and actively tell GOG that you're from Australia (like you're doing) then they have no choice but to give you the censored version. They practically told everyone that the way around it is to simply change your country temporarily.

You can get the uncensored version in Australia, as long as you don't blatantly say "I'm in Australia!!!".

Which is what you're doing. Which is why you have the censored version.
