lugum: oh darn telltale stick to what you are good at. sam and max, monkey island.
cant they make a new indiana jones?

MrAlphaNumeric: I have to agree there. Although I'm not against trying new things, when the game becomes a quicktime event fest or lacks any challenge you can count me out. I'll take my adventure games old-school please.

I hope Walking Dead isn't as braindead as Jurassic Park.
I see what you did thar :D
I used to be really excited for Telltale's latest work but I haven't liked anything of theirs since Tales of Monkey Island and even then I haven't really-really enjoyed their work since SBCG4AP. I think I'm gonna hold out for the new King's Quest before letting myself fall into the hype of one of their upcoming projects again.
Monkey Island Season 2 and S&M S4 is pretty much only what i'm waiting for them to release.

So I've seen some gameplay trailers for it.

Oh man... oh shit.. how could they... oh my god is this even playable.. oh crap.

my reaction tells everything i think about this title at this time :P
I pre-ordered it. Am I crazy? I guess I'll find out soon... :o
Telltale site is down. Perhaps preparing for the ensuing shitstorm? Not sure, but it's certainly irritating. Steam says it's gonna release in 9 more hours.
Telltale site is back online.

Gersen: Ask that to the 22 million who bought GTA4 :)

FraterPerdurabo: There's a difference between playing an antagonist and a protagonist.
...uhh what? Barring experimental games and other edge cases, whenever you are assigned a character in-game, he or she is a protagonist (if not the protagonist).
$42.49 for The Walking Dead plus the Almost Everything Pack sounds like pretty good value.

Cormoran: hmm, yes i'll have to concede that, it only states for $5 per episode. I may have to poke them about it on their forums :P

EDIT: Apparently it IS available for $5 per episode, but only on PSN.
So I will forgive them this misinformation. ;) But anyway they lost customer. I would buy one episode for 5$ to check if this will be worth playing, but I won't buy whole season... I don't get it why there is no option to buy only one episode. Especially when they release only one at the time.

Did you play Jurrasic Park or Back to the Future? :P I would say that it's very good deal only if you don't have Sam & Max and you like games like that.

Aver: Back to the Future was mediocre and Jurassic Park was terribad. I'm not too optimistic.
Even if the game itself wasn't also that great, Back to the Future at least had the benefit of the absolutely outstanding story which Bob Gale played a part in writing. JP didn't even have that.

That's why I never preorder games - it's almost a law by now that the best of devs out there will always eventually become arrogant and fuck up.

Why GOG doesn't sell any dinosaur themed PC game ? :(

We've got Robinson's Requiem.

But other than that, have there been any good PC dinosaur themed games apart from Turok? Primal Rage is a bad joke, Trespasser was as well. I have relatively fond memories of the first Jurassic Park game, but that's about it.

I think my 6 years old cousin isn't interested in Robinson's Requiem. . I showed him gameplay videos from Jurassic Park The Game and from Peter Jackson's King Kong. He loved them .
IGN has reviewed episode 1 and gave it some good praise and a high score, but that's nothing new. The review does make it sound decent though. I love the comics (not so much the TV show), but i'll be waiting until all the episodes of this are out before I consider buying.

Edit: Botched the link.
