From the same starting point, we reach different conclusions. They key words here are "if they'd just let them finish". Well, they didn't. They knowingly sold their customers an unfinished, broken game, and then promptly ignored it for all time. And these are the people you'd place your hopes for a decent third installment on? No, thank you.
Could KotOR 2 have been brilliant? Certainly. Was it? No, not by a long shot. Were the people responsible for the game's utter failure the same people who would have absolute control over a potential third installment? Yes, indeed.
