I will likely be spending Black Friday with my family, recuperating after our huge Thanksgiving dinner.

That is a good question, would find it interesting if there other countries have something similar. Black Friday for the states is the one big holiday sale of the year for big sale markdowns on tons of stuff from TVs to movies to appliances. Typically most people get their christmas shopping done on that day.

Sadly on the flipside it has sort of ruined Thanksgiving for many that have to work or those that rather go to the sales instead of spending time with family =/

Didn't you get the memo? Walmart's making it Black Week now :/ Yup, Thanksgiving and all that comes before it, too. Sigh.

Naturally, we have it here, too, if only because the stores need to stay competitive. There's still some sweet deals to be had; I'll personally be watching for a portable HDD as my lappy is groaning at a measly 500 gigs. Already grabbed a new mouse, though the verdict is still out on whether I won't be returning it, esp. if something good shows up. for $20 or so.

About the Black Friday... I will probably skip it. It is not a big tradition here (but it's growing nevertheless).
The way the thing is played here is more like a opportunity where some stores try to rip off inattentive consumers.

As I won a big GA lately and am only missing Tales of Monkey Island, I'm going with my obligatory Not in.


Black Friday? That's not a thing here, so just an ordinary Friday like many others. I will get me some Lebkuchen and Stollen though as we're getting closer and closer to Christmas. Why on Friday you ask? But to have the whole weekend to enjoy them of course! They taste great with a cup of hot cocoa with brandy or cappuccino with rum. :-DD

I'm not in as I have them too. Thank you, nonetheless as these are good games and not exactly cheap.

The companies here in Mexico have been pushing something similar but the fact is that is hard to find a truly good discount. Mostly they inflate prices before to make it look like big offers. And they do it at a different date since we have no thanksgiving. It started today I'm told.

So, on Black Friday I will be working and checking if I find deals on online goods.
