I'm definitely in favor of reboots, one boot in the ass of the executives never seems to be quite enough.

At least this one got the concept right instead of XCOM.
Hard Reset, Deus Ex, EYE and this... cyberpunk heaven lately.

Yeah, I liked EYE and Hard Reset but this is EA.

As one deluded person states:
""CALL OF DUTY MEETS INCEPTION" - PSM3

4 hours game length, 75 metascore
27 hours game length, 89 metascore
unclear game length, 58 metascore

I know which game I'm starting with. (If I ever get through my current backlog that is...)

EA make a lot of awesome games if you ask me.
It can be quite good if they do it properly, I see now problems making a FPS in the syndicate universe - it is a good setting. EA and Starbreeze have got some good games under the belt, especially when it is in first person.

I will wait until the game is finished before I pass any judgments on it.

- off topic - I was wondering about getting EYE, is it worth it? have been reading both good and bad things about it, rounding up in a 'good concept, bad implementation' thing.

Just like Command & Conquer 4...

Is one game supposed to be proof of something? Your favorite developer ever made a bad game.

I've played Escape from Butcher Bay and it was awesome, but the thing is.
When EA screws up, they screw up bad.
I hope Starbreeze can make a decent game out of this, and I also pray that it won't ruin Syndicate for me.

You know nothing about the quality of this game yet though. You're acting purely on preconception based on some kind of grievance.

EA release a lot of games and Starbreeze have a lot of talent, so I am pretty optimistic here. Compared to Ubisoft, Activision and THQ EA is like a freaking quality machine if you ask me.

Name me one way in which they got the concept right, other than setting it in the future.

Or maybe it's because the game's description - you know, the one provided by EA - has absolutely fuck all to do with Syndicate and everything to do with clichéd corridor shooting bollocks.

I try to remain optimistic about the Syndicate-themed FPS...

...with luck it will be canceled before release like the C&C FPS.

Like the SECOND C&C FPS, remember Renegade?
